The morning sun had not appeared yet. It was cold outside and the north
winds was still blowing through the air. Winter was leaving, but it was
taking it's precious time before finally making way for Spring. The
potted plants were starting to wake up in anticipation. Soon, the flora
around the apartment rooftop would be in full bloom again. Belldandy
smiled as she silently stared into the darkness. She was happy. She
looked at her side, Keiichi sleeping on the bench with her.
"Keiichi-san." He stirred, slapping his face from a mosquito bite on his
chin. She laughed, stroking his hair as he slept. "I love you,
Keiichi-san." He heard her. Keiichi opened his eyes slowly. The
beautiful face greeted him.
"Is it morning?" Keiichi sat up, stretching out while listening to
Belldandy's answer. "I'm sorry. Did we sleep out here?" She giggled,
telling him she liked waiting for the sun. "You should sleep now, Bel.
You must be exhausted." She was, yawning in front of him. But she didn't
care. A few more minutes and she'll be able to greet another old friend.
Then she'll sleep. A glimmer of light coming from the horizon caught
their attention. The sun was rising. She felt teary eyed. Keiichi
hugged her, bringing her closer to him. Supporting him. She was fragile,
she was tired...but she was still strong in spirit, and love that he had
always known her. Another day had dawned.

"Hi, Keiichi. Have you seen onee-chan?" Skuld walked up to Keiichi, who
was sitting down on his drawing. He shushed Skuld to quiet down. Her big
sister was sleeping in the next room, and Keiichi too was busy working.
"Oh, Ok. I understand, Keiichi."
"Thanks, Skuld." Keiichi turned to his drawings again. He reached for
his slide rule. Skuld helped him. "What did you want anyway?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to see how onee-chan is doing. She is alright,
right?" Keiichi reassured the young goddess. "Well, I don't doubt it."
Skuld pulled up a chair and sat next to Keiichi. She had a few comments
about his work, but she knew Keiichi would just ignore her anyway. "Um,
It's not that I'm..." Keiichi frowned at her.
"Skuld."
"Ok. I won't." Skuld turned the other way, allowing Keiichi to return to
his project. "Just don't forget to make allowances, ok?" She smiled,
Keiichi chuckled.
"Ok. I'll make allowances." Keiichi drew a new line in his drawing.
"And, don't forget our rooms too." She was pushing it.
"Your rooms?" Keiichi looked at his drawing.
"Yes. Our rooms." Skuld leaned in, pointing at some open spaces. "There.
You could build it there."
"But that will be the garden." Skuld pointed again. "That's where I'll
keep all the spare parts from work." She frowned. She gave a simple
solution. "A second floor? That'll be too expensive." Skuld slapped her
head.
"Just kidding," Keiichi brought out another work, "Instant second floor.
Complete with your own laboratory, and library." Skuld jumped in delight.
"You're so nice, Keiichi!"
"Heh. Belldandy and I had that in mind since the very beginning." Skuld
hugged Keiichi. "Ack! Let go of my neck. Skuld!"
"Oops. Guess I got carried away."

"So, do I also have a room?" Urd sudden appearance caught the two off
guard. She walked over the plans, conveniently finding her room. It had
"Urd: Keep out!" labeled on it. "Thanks Keiichi."
"Hello Urd. What brings you here?" Keiichi found it better to work
later, so he rolled up his plans for later. He walked over towards the
kitchen, and came back with sake and ice-cream on a tray. "How did you
know? Did Belldandy tell you already?"
"Silly, we just know Keiichi." Urd looked at Skuld, who looked confused.
"You mean you don't know?"
Skuld swung her head. Urd frowned at her expense. "Is this about
onee-chan?" Keiichi sat down, handing over the ice-cream to the young
goddess.
"Yes, Skuld. I leapt for joy when she told me last night. I still can't
believe it." Keiichi ate some ice-cream too, while Urd mixed some sake
with her ice-cream. "I'm so happy right now, I don't think anything can
spoil this moment."
"I'm so happy for you too, Keiichi." Urd drank and ate, Skuld still was
confused. "So what are you going to call her?" Urd blinked, she tripped
on a secret. "Oops."
Skuld screamed. "Ah! She's pregnant? I can't believe it. Wow!"
Keiichi and Urd flinched, asking the young goddess to calm down. Keiichi
walked up to the door of the room where his wife was sleeping. He peeked
inside. Belldandy was still asleep. He was relieved. When he turned
around, the two sisters were at it again.
"How come you knew? And how did you know it was going to be a gi..." Urd
shut up Skuld's talkative mouth.
"Shush! Don't let him know." Skuld quieted down.
"So that's why I felt I had to come over here right away." Skuld
reflected on her own feelings. "Darn. Those bugs have really screwed
with my senses." Keiichi sat down, asking what they were talking about.
Both goddesses just said some lame excuse.
"Thank you guys."
"Aw. So what will you name her?" Urd glared at Skuld, "Or him?"
Keiichi thought real hard. "I guess we still haven't decided about it.
Maybe something will come up."
Just then a brilliant flash of light sliced through the room. The smoke
cleared, and there was some writings on the tabletop. Urd read it.
"What does it say?"
"Uh, oh."
Skuld shook her sister vigorously, trying to get her out of the way, since
she too wanted to read. Urd was motionless. She seemed shocked. Skuld
truly was now aroused by the message from the Lord. Finally Urd stirred.
"This is bad."
Keiichi blinked. "What is?"
"Belldandy is to report upstairs ASAP." Keiichi fell back. Skuld gasped.
"What? But she's already mortal." Keiichi clenched his fist. "She gave
it all up, just to stay. How could this be, Urd?" Skuld fell on the
floor exhausted in her own thinking.
"I'm not sure. But..." The door slid open, revealing Belldandy.
"Belldandy." She was wearing her old dress, the dress of her old goddess
self. "Belldandy?"
"Bel?" Keiichi walked up to her. She smiled. "Is something wrong?"
"Keiichi-san. I must go." That made Keiichi stop in his tracks. "I must
go see the Lord." She smiled, hoping to calm him down.
"What? But.." Keiichi couldn't believe it. Was he reliving that
nightmare again? Was he going to lose her again? Now of all times.
"No."
"It's going to be all right, Keiichi-san." Belldandy hugged her husband.
Urd blinked. She finally saw a spark of Belldandy's old power back in her
sister. What's bothering her was how?
"But..." Keiichi didn't want to let go.
"I'm just going to present myself to the Lord," Belldandy kissed him
lightly on the cheek, "and his grandson." She smiled and giggled a bit.
Keiichi was trying to clear his head.
"Um...Granddaughter, Bell." Urd corrected her sister. Belldandy blinked.
"Really? How wonderful! Twins." Urd frowned. Did Belldandy missed her,
or was she missing something?
Keiichi gave her a kiss. "Come back home."
"Of course." Belldandy parted from his hug. "We still have to talk about
their names, Keiichi." She stepped back.
"Oh yeah." Keiichi stood back as the gates of Heaven opened themselves
inside his apartment. She faded in an instant. "Twins? What?! Twins?"
Keiichi jumped for joy. He went to his workstation right away and pulled
out his drawings again. "I've got to change this." He started drawing.
Urd picked up her little sister. Skuld was still dreaming. "Oh, Skuld.
Stop using your power now. She's having twins." The aura returned to
Skuld, she stopped looking towards the future.
"Ah!" Skuld sat up. "Belldandy!" Urd told her she left. "Ah, did you
know that..." Urd told her about the twins.
"Twins? No way. She's having quadruplets." Urd was shocked. A ruckus
was then heard at the direction of Keiichi's workplace.
"Arrgh...I need more room!" Keiichi turned to the two. "Could I use your
rooms?" Both goddess stuck out their tongue at him. "Third floor? God,
this is turning more like an apartment. And it'll cost me a lot."
Keiichi started punching numbers on his calculator. The figure he got
made him wince, he stared over.
"Why don't we all just live back at the temple, Keiichi. I'm sure it'll
be alright now." Keiichi stopped calculating. He was happy to hear that
his problems was solved. "Though, we need to clean it up a little. We,"
She looks at her little sister cleaning out the rest of the ice-cream,"
haven't actually been keeping the place tidy since you guys left."
Keiichi didn't care, it was and offer heaven sent.
"Hey, Keiichi. Do you have more?" Skuld stacked up the last of the
ice-cream cups. Keiichi ran towards the fridge. "Thanks." Both Keiichi
and Urd watch Skuld eat away. Both laughed at her, but Skuld didn't care.
"So, how does onee-chan actually going to come up with her babies?" Urd
and Keiichi looked at each other, hesitating to answer. "Well?"

Skuld ran towards the bathroom.
"I told you. But you wouldn't listen." Urd smirked. When Skuld finally
came out, she was quite weak and dragging herself out.
"Remind me to never have babies, onee-chan." Skuld felt his stomach, she
ran back into the bathroom.
"Sure thing, kid." Urd smiled. "I guess that happens when you talk about
the birds and the bees," she turned to Keiichi, "just after eating lots of
ice-cream." Both laughed.
