In the fict, Serenity did a lot of things in the name of protecting the

protecting humanity that she would destroy what made them human to

centuries of
fighting. She felt she was perfectly justified and was doing the right
thing. I
very much doubt that Sailor moon would feel in any way similar about those
actions. It might be interesting to see a confrontation where he faces
Serenity
only to discover that she agrees with him about her future selves actions.
I see your point, but you're forgetting some things:
What gives him the right to say that what she did is wrong?
The rest of what you say Chris, is perfectly reasonable. But this line is
silly. He has as much right to think and say someone's in the wrong as
anyone else. If you'd been someone's enemy for 600 years, do you think you'd
be nice and rosy in your opinion of them?
Actually, it's funny you bring up that line. I have got a scene
where it's used on him.
How do we even
know that his perception of what she did is correct?
We don't. Isn't it wonderful? ^_^
We're seeing the
future through his eyes, with his heavy bias.
Yep. He could be totally and utterly wrong, or this could be a universe where
he is absolutely 100% right. Or, more likely, somewhere inbetween. Who knows?
Besides me, of course.
Remember: In the minds of the bad guys...THEY are the good guys, and the
'heroes' are the bad guys.
Yes, and that was part of the point of the entire story. Really, it was the
main point: I've always said it and meant it, the main reason I did the
story was to create a 'bad guy' who couldn't be easily dismissed as that. An
exercise in character creation, while creating a story that would interest
people at the same time.
That is something that I keep in mind when I read IHTH, and I find in many
ways, it makes the fic more enjoyable. We don't really know if what he
believes is the actual truth.
There is an answer, which no-one's guessed, but I'm not sure I'll ever write
enough SM fics to reveal it. We'll see.
