Why does Ryouga have fangs?

I asked the Church of Ryouga ML, and I got two answers.  One, that it
was as natural as the sky is blue, but that doesn't answer anything. 
Two, that his name translates into "Good Fangs exploding loudly [or
noise]"  
However, having the name translate into something doesn't explain why it
occurs.  It's kinda like the Ranko question.  Is she the drowned girl's
body, or just a girl version of Ranma?  (don't answer that :)
Is there any explanation?  Does it have anything with the fact he's a
pig sometimes?  I'm thinking not, since early childhood scenes, i.e.
Ranma stealing bread from Ryouga, probably show him with fangs.  And as
far as I know, Tasuki is the only other human in anime who has fangs all
the time.  But he's from another universe, so I need a _reason_.  You
could put it in a fic, if you knew.

Did anyone see that DS9 episode where they went back in time to Kirk's
enterprise?  And there were the original Klingons, and Dax asks Worf
"What happened?" 

That's all I want to know.  If there is no right explanation, then tell
me that too, and I'll just make up one.
