Yeah, as much as I hate to admit (because I find this the most implausible
part of BGC SI fics), you don't have a story if the KS don't "adopt" the
insertee almost immediately (unless the insertee is going to be an outsider
-- and if that happens, what's the point of writing an insertion fic?)

There was a teaser posted, I don't know, well over a year ago. I found
it so fascinating I still remember it. The plot was...

This rogue scientist has been pilfering Genom supplies. he's been
working on this private project, to create the perfect super-sexaroid.
He inputs programs on language, martial arts, technical skills , and all
kinds of goodies. Then, he attempts to turn it on. The brain is
totally scrambled and utterly fails to function.

The scientist knows that without a success to excuse him, he's finished.
So in despair, he hangs himself. Thirty seconds later, the sexaroid
wakes up. Only it isn't a sexaroid. Her memories are hazy and
confused, but the last thing she remember is dying in a car accident.
Then, she see the name Genom on something. Suddenly the sexaroid
recalls the anime series Bubblegum Crisis. She remembers the Knight
Saber.

Somehow, someone from our world has died and the soul has possessed the
body of a BCG universe sexaroid. She immediately determines to stay
_well away_ from the Knight Sabers. She thinks they would be likely as
not to kill a human who knew all their secrets. A boomer they would
destroy without hesitation.

But what to do? Where can she hide? As a boomer, she has no rights.
If she's discovered as a boomer...... She comes up with the perfect
plan. She'll join the AD police! No one would _ever_ look for a boomer
there.

The teaser ends with a look in a mirror. The shock of her reflection
brings back memories. She suddenly realizes why this body seems so
strange, so alien. Before her "death", she used to be a guy!!!!

Now that was a cool and original take on self-insertion. There are so
many great possibilities to go from there, I can't even describe.

If the original author is out there, why didn't you ever do any more on
this? It was one of the most original BGC fic ideas ever.

Anyone else remember this?
