A Ranma 1/2 fanfiction =)

I'm really on a roll with this one.  It's so easy to write once
I get used to it.  And to think this morning I thought I was
dying. =)

*****Forget Me Not*****
Part Two:
We all love Ranma

The next day rolled by, and to Shanpuu's dismay, Ranma and Akane
were still getting along.  Mr. Saotome and Mr. Tendou were so
happy they decided to marry the two children quickly before they
changed their minds.  Akane and Ranma talked them out of it,
saying they were still too young to get married.
:He supposed to marry Shanpuu,: Shanpuu thought sadly.  Her
amazon law required her to marry him, and that was great for her
because she loved him anyway.  He was handsome, kind, and strong;
all things she wanted in a man.  But her love didn't seem to be
enough for him.  :Why he love Akane?:
Since the memory wipe, Ranma had not made one crack about
Akane being uncute, tomboyish, or having brute strength.  Akane
had not called Ranma a pervert, hit him, or yelled at him.  When
Shanpuu sat down and tried to figure out why, she figured it was
because they no longer bothered them before she tampered with
their memories.  They had just been too stubborn to admit it.
Cologne was considering disowning Shanpuu.  She had given in
to weakness and cried more in the past two days than Cologne had
in all of her three-hundred years.  She was humiliated to have
such a weakling for a grand daughter.
Mousse was carefully trying to creep into Shanpuu's heart in
the mean time.  He had sat and thought through the past, why his
previous methods hadn't worked.  He figured it was because he
had been too aggressive.  So, he comforted her in her sadness,
carefully thinking through everything he said and always wearing
his glasses.  Shanpuu appreciated him for probably the first
time ever.
Cologne noticed them becoming closer, and she wasn't happy.
When she asked her great-granddaughter if she was falling for
Mousse, she paused a second before denying it.  It was such a
brief pause, it shouldn't have mattered.  But, Cologne noticed
it and she was infuriated.
"We've been working so hard to win you Ranma!  Are you going
to give that all up now for some stupid boy who turns into a
duck?  Don't forget our mission!"  Shanpuu stood tall and strong
throughout this confrontation, even though the fury in Cologne's
voice shook her to the core.
"I no forget, grandmother."  It was all she could say.
Cologne gave up and told the girl to go back to waiting the
tables.

Cologne may have given up on Shanpuu for the moment, but that
didn't mean that she had given up on planning.  She had put too
much in to this for that.  It was too late and she was in too
far.
Akane never seemed to be jealous anymore.  Ranma made it
clear the first day that he loved Akane and had no intention of
marrying Shanpuu.  'In fact,' he had said, 'if it weren't for
the fact you and I are already engaged, I would propose to you!'
He got on one knee and asked Akane, officially, to marry him,
in spite of the fact they already were engaged.
"Not for our families, not for the doujou.  For us."
Akane had accepted by kissing him for the very first time.
"Jealousy is what ruins them," Cologne mumbled.  "Shanpuu is
useless in that area now, since Ranma has made it clear he wants
nothing to do with her, and since she's falling for Mousse.  I
have to find another way to...Ah hah!"  She remembered the nice
girl that made okonomiyaki...

"...And so that's all you have to do.  Akane will get so mad she
won't speak to Ranma again.  And he'll be free from her."
Ukyou shifted nervously at her end of the phone.  "But if what
you say is true, even wiping their memories out didn't work.  How
could flirting work?"
The old woman smiled at her.  "If this doesn't, nothing will.
Nothing."

The next day, Ukyou put on the female school uniform.  She didn't
know as it would make a difference.  She wore it most of the time
now.
When she got to school, she composed herself.  She ran strait
to Ranma.  "I'm so excited about our date today, Ran-chan!"
Ranma and Akane walked on, looking fixedly into eachothers
eyes.
   "Ran-chan?  Our date?"
A strange girl running around with a gymnastics ribbon came by.
"Ranma-sama!  What are you doing with her!  I thought you and I
were going to get married..."
She headed towards him and he hit her away reflexively, without
even looking.
Ranma didn't hear either of them.  Neither did Akane.  Ukyou
ran home, embarrassed.  Kodachi was just twitching by a tree,
forgotten.

Ukyou called the old woman up.  "It didn't work.  They didn't
even hear me, they were so caught up in eachother!"
Cologne was shocked.  "She wasn't jealous?"
"I told ya, she didn't even hear me!"
Cologne thanked the girl for trying and went to back to the
'drawing board.'

That afternoon, the school was buzzing with rumors.  Someone
asked Ranma why Ukyou thought they were going on a date, and
Ranma blinked, confused.  "She thought what?"
A friend of Akane's asked her why she wasn't jealous.  Didn't
she hear Ukyou?  Or Kodachi?
"Oh, I heard them.  But since Ranma was ignoring them, I just
figured she they delirious.  I mean, what kind of guy has more
than one girlfriend?"  Akane shrugged.  Everyone facefaults.
"Besides, some of his friends told me that he didn't even hear
her."
Everyone was puzzled by the new attitudes Akane and Ranma had
adopted.  Everyone figured they were in a time warp.  Akane not
jealous?  Ranma not being beaten up by a jealous Akane?  No,
this is not the real world the fell asleep in three days ago.

Authors notes:
Looks like this story want's to be written in short segments.
As I said, my story is writing itself.  I actually kinda like it
even though it's not the way I had originally planned.  I was
thinking to do something more along the lines of having Akane
eventually remember Ranma, and she breaks up a wedding between
Shanpuu and Ranma.  Maybe I'll write another one like that next,
but for now, what do you think?

A Ranma 1/2 fanfiction =)

Here's part three.  The beginning doesn't have as much talking
because the majority of it is character thoughts and what’s going
on.  Mild swearing. =)  Ranma 1/2 is the property of the

Part Three:
Can't Stop Love

Shanpuu was upstairs crying in her room.  Her pride was entirely
gone and now she was just terrified.
She wasn't sure how he had done it, but Mousse had creeped his
way into her heart.  She was caring less and less for Ranma and
more and more for Mousse.
Cologne was so pissed she was practically breathing fire.
Ranma and Akane barely noticed life going on around them.
They were becoming so close, Cologne was hard pressed for time.
Much longer, and they would consent to a wedding.
Not to mention her grand daughter.  She was falling in love
with Mousse.  It was so obvious, Shanpuu barely denied it
anymore.  She was supposed to be the next ruler of the amazon
tribe, but her recent display of weakness made that doubtful.
Shanpuu was avoiding Cologne and Mousse.  Cologne because she
was afraid of what the old woman would say and do.  Mousse
because she was afraid of loving him.

Cologne sat down to organize her frantic thoughts.  Okay.
First thing was to get rid of Mousse.  That should be easy.
Change him into a duck and wipe out all of his human memories.
Maybe give him the memory of a pretty she-duck.
About Shanpuu...Wipe out all her memories of Mousse.  Make her
forget anytime she might not have loved Ranma.
Akane and Ranma though...They were a problem.  Even wiping
their memories didn't work.  They loved eachother too much.  She
may have to take a trip back to China to find an emotion-altering
potion.  But it was so rare...
She yawned.  Oh well.  She'd think more on it tomorrow...

Shanpuu sneaked into the room that she shared with her great
grandmother.  She had in her hand a bottle of 110 memory-erasing
shampoo.  It had been a hard decision to make but...
She loved Mousse.  She wouldn't lose him.
She removed all of Cologne's memories or Ranma and the kiss of
death.  She also took away all the memories of Mousse.
A fresh start for her and Mousse.

That night, Mousse had a dream.  He dreamed that he was sleeping
on the kitchen floor as usual, and Shanpuu was cooking for the
last of the late night customers.  When she thought no one was
looking, she stroked his hair back from his forehead and kissed
his cheek.  It was a good dream.

Akane woke up.  The sun was shining through her window.  She
yawned and rolled over to look at the picture of her and Ranma
she had on the nightstand.  She smiled.
She stepped onto the floor carefully, as Ranma had taken to
sleeping on her floor.
"Wake up, sleepy head," Akane called playfully.  "Time to get
up."
Ranma's eyes fluttered open and he looked up at her.  "Ohayou,
Akane-chan."  He smiled.  She smiled back.  Mornings were good.

Cologne woke up the next morning.  Shanpuu had tried to use the
memory erasing shampoo 110 on her.  Luckily, Cologne had become
resistant over the years.
She understood now.  Sometimes, you just can't stop love.
That is what had happened with Ranma and Akane.  They loved
eachother before, and they loved eachother now.  She considered
giving them their memories back, but decided against it.  They
were happier now.

Two weeks later, there was a joint wedding between Shanpuu and
Mousse, Ranma and Akane.  They were eachothers best men and maids
of honour.  Ryouga even managed to make an appearance, and he was
sad.  But he understood.  He would have done the same thing if he
were in Ranma's shoes, not even considering his feelings.
Cologne confronted Shanpuu about how she tried to alter her
memory.  Before Shanpuu apologized, Cologne told her she forgave
her, that she understood.  You just can't stop love.

*The End*

Authors Notes:
The end came to me rather suddenly.  Which was good for me, cuz I
was beginning to wonder if it would be possible for me to end it
without severely messing up.  And see?  (Almost) every character
happy.  I would like to mention that I *know* things with the
memory altering is a little different in my story.  In the anime,
Akane kept re-forgetting Ranma.  But I like it this way, because
now they can love without Akane's temper getting in the way.
So, is romance a bad thing for me to write about?
