I think one issue that does still need to be pointed out is the practice
of posting fics as binary attachments. If your mailer does this
automatically, I'd advise getting a new mailer as there are many people
out there who either can't or won't read it.  Personally, I believe the
only binary fic that I've ever read was the SM/Discworld crossover, and
that was only because of the subject matter.  

I don't believe that it's an official rule, but I'd prefer that you post
your fic as a text message with screwed up headers than a binary with
perfect headers.  

But maybe that's just me.
