I don't know much about "Thy Inward Love," but I think the switch may
have also been to humble the Akane from that continuity.  To kind of
remind her how good she really had it.  Richard, please correct me if
I'm wrong on that point.

Hmmm.  Good point, tho' I don't really think TIL-Akane needed it at all...
