The way I understand it, she made the wish, then she realised *what* she
wished, but the wish hasn't yet been granted. right?

The ring glowed, Ranma vanished, and her hair is long again.  That sounds
like the wish was granted.  Perhaps there is a delay before all of the wish
takes effect.

	Alterntaively the wish could by it's own nature not change it's 
user, just the rest of the world.
