I always wondered why the Ranma/Tendo household used kettles for hot water all the time, both in the manga and anime. This 'fic explores the usage of electric hot water pots (pretty common in most Japanese households) and hot water dispensers in the Ranma universe.

Kasumi's POV:

    "Konbanwa," Kasumi greeted the person who knocked on the door.
    "Konbanwa," he replied. "I represent MEA electronics, world class manufacturer of hot water pots and hot water dispensers. I understand that your household needs hot water on demand quite often, and I can guarantee that my product can supply hot water 24 hours a day!"
    [After some demonstrations]
    "Oh my. My salesman, we'll take 20." Kasumi beamed.

Nabiki's POV:

    "Che, now I can't hit Ranma for cash for hot water. Wait... hmmm... there is potential in this."
    [Later]
    "Hey Pops, why is there a coinbox attached to the hot water dispenser?"

Ranma's POV:

    "Alright! Instant hot water!" Ranma-chan exclaimed as he filled a glass from the newly installed hot water dispenser. 

Tendo Soun's POV:

    "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! There goes my electric bill..."

Genma's POV:

    "Growf."
