And before somebody says, it's NOT Kimiko. That is, as far as I can tell, a
fanfic invention that has creeped into the pool of common knowledge, rather

I don't know about the passion spice. But I dissagree with your assessment
of Ryoga's habit of getting lost as a "fanfic invention" it is clearly
present in *both* the manga I have read and the anime I have viewed (most
of the anime though second OAV season - viz release)

If it is a fanfic invention why was I aware of it long before I started
reading fanfics? Durring the training for the rhythmic gymnastics comp.
I think the fanfict invention is the enhanced capacity for geting lost
he often demonstrates. In the Manga he gets lost and wanderes from Hokaido to
Honshu to Chushu to Okinawa without realising he's crossing the ocean, in
ficts he walks from tokyo to paris to zimbabwe. It's not a question of him
loosing his way, it's a question of his ability to cross bodies of water
without realising it has been greatly enhanced.

EX.
Ranma refers to P-Chan as having a bad sense of direction. Akane retorts
that he's not Ryoga.

Need I say more?
