I feel I should take this opportunity to state that Ranma does NOT talk
like that.  He speaks very informally in Japanese, but informal speech
in Japanese is NOT the same as bad grammar/poor English.  To a Japanese
speaker, the Japanese Ranma sounds like a crass young man.  To an English
reader, the horrible English Viz evidently "assigned" him makes him sound
like a subintelligent idiot.  Thus the common misconception that he is
stupid, which he's not.  Same goes for Ryouga.
