			      TANGLED WEB

		       Ranma 1/2 manga fanfiction
			     by Gary Kleppe

*reads Mousse and Cologne pairing*

Urk!! *cringe* That was sick.

*reads Nabiki and Kodachi pairing*

Hmm, much more believable, IMO. Kodachi's insanity hides her true
sophistication. Understandable and even convincing, but why hide it at
all? To deter money-hungry suitors? Might be a bit extreme and is still
puzzling, but I guess it's another acceptable idea.

*reads Kasumi and Kunou pairing*

Even more believable. I can see Kasumi falling for a traditional,
honorable samurai (well, samurai-aspirant) who comes from an influential
family. OTOH, Kasumi is a perfect wife. She's dutiful, already a
housewife, and more than anything else, she's a kind soul with enough
love for everyone else (hehe, again, my fanfic-based biases come out).

*reads Kouchou (sp?) and Nodoka pairing*
*reads Kouchou and Nodoka pairing again*
*reads Kouchou and Nodoka pairing AGAIN*

<facefault> Nani yo?!?! Man, you ARE evil. *wicked grin* Although it
is funny. Anyway, I have a hard time finding your reasoning behind this
pairing. I mean, sure, Nodoka is starving for attention, but why would
she turn to Kouchou? He don't be seemin' like an affectionate or caring
lil' wahini, eh? (*groan* I knew my dad never should have tried
teaching me Hawaiian pidgeon).

*reads Ryouga and Akane pairing*

Another believable (yet unsettling) pairing. Akane is starving for
affection, too. And Ryouga's definitely the person to provide it, given
he can get over his shyness.

*reads Ukyou and Gosunkugi pairing* <FUMES WITH RAGE>

ARGH!!!!! You liked that, didn't you, Gary? *mutters under his breath*
Always gotta pick on poor Ukyou. *grumble* Fine, fine. I agree that
it's understandable given that Ukyou's female persona was starving for
attention, and had it really been Gosunkugi who found out she was a girl
first, she'd have focused her affections on him, rather than Ranma.
Bleh, onto the next one. You've thouroughly disgusted me with this one.
I'm gonna have nightmares now.

*reads Shampoo and Ranma pairing*

Hmm, I've got mixed feelings about this one. Is Ranma really someone who
would casually sleep around at age 16? And would Shampoo, an Amazon,
agree to do so if she weren't married or wasn't sure she had complete
control over him? The reasons why he's not going to run away is good, if
not overly used. Also, if he's so worried about maintaining his honor,
why would he have slept with Shampoo without marrying her first?

*reads Genma and Soun pairing... sh%t, did I just write that? Umm, meant
"Genma and Soun hobby*

BWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! Now THIS I can see. How the hell could two
grown men (how old are they anyway?) sit around playing shogi (shougi?)
all day? Not only all day, it's EVERY day.

AUTHOR'S SPIEL:

By now, you, the reader, are probably
scratching your head and asking what the heck
you've just read.

Heh. Yeah, that's basically the gist of it. *grin*

My aim was to write the ultimate in
"Hidden Relationships" stories, one where just
about *every* character was secretly seeing
someone unexpected. (I did leave out Happi,
which was probably a relief to everyone.)

*shudder* Gary, if you had gone through with that, I think you'd have a
bunch of thouroughly disgusted and homicidal FFMLers on you in a second.
But luckily it didn't come to that.

Anyway, other morbidly hilarious piece that is definitely Kleppe-esqe.
Keep 'em rollin'.....
