Comments:

"I" know that. "You" know that. But would Ryoga know that, especially on 
seeing one for the first time? (Actually, he'd almost certainly assume 
that it was a giant monster instead...)

-I hope the "secret organization bent on world conquest" bit was
intended as a joke. If not, well...that's not *quite* what NERV is up
to.

Of course it was a joke. <suppresses spoilers for Eva>

-Gendou nitpick: although I understand this is a different Gendou, in
Eva continuity, Gendou didn't grow the beard until after he was
estranged from Shinji, and the dark glasses didn't come about until
the day he saved Rei from the ejected plug during the activation
accident with Unit-00. The day he burned his hands. Just wanted to
point that out...

This is a very good point, and I hadn't considered it... although Gendo 
Hibiki would definitely have more uses for tinted lenses, and it's not 
inconcievable that he's away from a razor for a large amount of time... 
See? THIS is the kind of thing that gets thought of during fic writing.

-I have to admit, though, this is a hilarious parody of the Ikari
family estrangement situation...

Thanks. It doesn't go anywhere for quite a bit, but...

-It's "Fuyutsuki", not "Futuyuski". 

I found that out after writing part seven. Guess the word processor's 
search-and-replace missed one... ^_^;;
