heading, "What is SPAM?", you could include a mention of replies to
posts with comments similar to the one above, particularly when said
replies actually repeat the lines about not starting a thread on the

I can think of circumstances where a public response (ONE, not twenty)
to a post would be necessary; for example, if the post contained false
information, and the poster refused to post a correction. No, I *don't*
think that Greg Sandborn's post was in this category, and I do think
people should have followed his request and not continued the thread,
especially since IMO most of them didn't have anything of significance
to add anyway.
