I'm curious.  After reading posts by various members of the FFML
asking/demanding the end of the adfic challenge, I'm left wondering what
the FFML is all about.  In the few months I've been here, I've never seen
a thread that produces shortfics/spamfics squashed like this.  In
essence, that what these adfics are -- spamfics.  The only difference
being these fics promote a certain product.  In fact, they remind me of
Ryoucilo's fics in that they are as short or shorter than Ryoucilo's
fics, and some are just as humorous.  As to their quality reaching
Ryoucilo's, well, it probably varies from one person to the next. 
Regardless, to me, it looks like this thread is merely being banned
because it's creating an abnormal and undesired (by some) amount of spam.
 Aren't these basically the same as spamfics?  If these are banned, why
aren't all spamfics banned?  I find it disconcerting to see something I
enjoy reading being banned from the list merely because enough people
don't like receiving them.  Like so many people have said before, if you
don't want to read them delete them.  *shrug*  This definitely wasn't
what I joined the mailing list for.
