There was one, where Genma dies and when Nadkoa learns that Soun only has
boys, she travels to Jyusenko and -deliberately- dunks him into the
Nyanniichuan.  I never read past the second chapter, though, so I can't
recall the title of the fic nor what happened.

In the end, it's not too different that what you've described as the
normal procedure.  However, I'd think that Genma and Soun would have to be
complete idiots to try to maintain the honor of their two schools by
marrying two boys, so I guess this is the most plausible extreme case.

The sardines weren't worth the trouble.  A few more shots, then 
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode.  Ducking around a corner, 
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of 
my Anime supplier.
