MT = Mahou TsukaiTai!
I have just seen this show, and as with all shows that I adore I am
instantly inspired to write a fanfic... this is just something to test
the waters.

A Phillip Masters Fanfic
Back to Normal (sort of)

     "Minowa-san?"
     "Yeah?"
"Could you give me a ride to school by any chance?"
Minoru blinked. He had never had anyone call him for a ride
anywhere before. However, the voice on the other end of the line
sounded awefully familiar. "Who is this?"
     "Akane."
     He remained non-plussed. "Who?"
An exasperated sigh blew over the phone, "The Angel."
Minoru almost dropped the phone. His angel was calling for a ride?
"Oh... of course! I'll be over in a few minutes!"
He hung up the phone and ran out the door. Then he turned about
and ran back into the house, grabbing his keys, coat, and shoes. He
started up the car and tore out of the driveway and into the busy
street. He ignored the blaring horns of aggitated drivers as he flew
down the path to his angel's apartment. In record time he had made it.
Akane, he thought to himself, what a beautiful name.
Akane was just picking up her purse as the doorbell rang. She
looked through the peephole at the curved face of Minowa. With a giggle
she opened the door and stepped out. "Hello, Minowa-san."
"Hello, Akane... uh..." he stuttered, not quite sure as to what
honorific to use in this situation.
     "Chan?" she supplied helpfully.
"Yeah, hello, Akane-chan." He blushed slightly, then continued,
"Why exactly do you need me to drive you to school?"
"I don't have a car, and the guy who was supposed to give me a ride
today came down with something." she explained.
Minoru looked back at the apartment. "Sorry to be so rude, but how
can you afford the apartment and not a car?"
She winked at him, "That's the answer right there. I can afford
the apartment, but not the car."
     "Oh."
Without another word they entered his car and he took off toward
the school. They made in record time, though Akane's teeth were
clenched slightly. "I only thought you drove like that when being
chased by robotic monsters!" she gasped.
He looked down at her and noticed her slightly paler than usual
coloring. "Sorry, it's just the way I am."
She smiled at him, making his cheeks hotter again. "That's okay.
Hey, I have a meeting with the club now, want to tag along?"
He instantly perked at the mention of the secretive group of
magicians. "Sure!" he exclaimed. He was rarely a person to become
excited, but this Akane girl seemed to bring something out in him that
he thought was lost forever.
They walked together around to the back entrance to the school.
When they stepped through the doors they could already hear a familar
cry.
     "There's almost nothing left!"
"What do you want me to do about it?"
"Stop moving the wall, how about that?!"
"Wow," Akane commented, "ever since he admited his feelings to Sae,
Takakura-senpai hasn't backed down from that bitch even an inch." She
ran around the corner and cried, "Way to give it to her, senpai!"
Takeo turned around to see Akane rooting him on from the end of the
hall. Behind her stood the large reporter who had helped the group
fight against the Bell. He smiled, then turned about, to have his face
land smack between Miyama's breasts. To anyone who knew Miyama knew
that this was likened to stumbling into a foam rubber factory.
For Takeo this was more likened to heaven. A small drop of blood
rolled out of his nostril and he began to quote his internal mantra of,
"Sayaka, Sayaka, Sayaka..." He backed himself out of Miyama's chest and
looked her in the eye again, with just a small amount of twitch in his
nose. "Please, just move the wall back." With that he made his
retreat.
Sayaka was waiting for him with the largest smile possible on her
face. She jumped up to hug Takeo as he returned, looking for all the
world as though he had run the two minute mile. "I'm so happy for you,
Takakura-chan!"
Suddenly they were both wrapped up in the arms of Ayanojou, "I'm
proud of you too." he whispered.
Takeo only laughed in response to the affectionate attentions of
his club members. Nanaka stood to the side rolling her eyes. She
turned to stare at Akane, being flanked by her meaty self-proclaimed
bodyguard. "Why did you drag him along?" she asked.
Akane shrugged, smiling wistfully. Nanaka decided not to question
it any farther. Instead she turned her attention back to the group
still clinging to one another in the hall. "So, are we going to
actually have a meeting today, or what?"
For the past few months, after the destruction of the Bell,
meetings have been light-hearted and celebratory in nature. Magic
seemed to be just for fun now that there was no real threat to the
world. Sae had suggested they all fight crime like the Sailor Senshi,
but that idea was quickly squashed as Ayanojou was happy enough to wear
a fuku, but Takeo would have none of it. They thought maybe he could be
Tuxedo Kamen, but the price of a good tux squelched that one too.
After a few more bad ideas, they figured why don't they just stay
in there present outfits and stop the evildoers? They tried it for a
week, and stopped a few purse snatchers and the like, but nothing
particularly big. As well, their grades were falling from the late
nights. In other words, being a crime fighter without connections or
some omniscient computer or something was damn near impossible. So,
they went back to being your average magical High School students.
Takeo looked over at Nanaka and considered her question. "You
know, Nakatomi-san has a point. However, it's not so much 'are we going
to have a meeting', as 'what are we going to do at the meeting?'" He
crossed his arms and Sayaka and Ayanojou backed away to see what he
would say. "I mean, the manga club keeps stealing our space, but what
do we need it for?" He looked around at everyone seriously, "We need a
reason for existing!"
"What do you mean?" Sayaka asked, "I thought we were learning
magic... that's why we exist! The tennis club learns tennis... the
chess club learns chess... the theology club learns... well, I'm not
sure what they learn... but I'm sure it's important!" She wrapped her
fingers together and stared up at Takeo with her best 'cute and cuddly'
eyes, "We are the magic club, and we are here to learn magic!"
The hallways became deathly quiet as Sayaka finished her speech.
Then came a sniffling from Takeo. He cried, "Sae-chan!" and wrapped his
arms around her. "You were always so much stronger than me!"
Nanaka put her hand over her face and sighed. Ayanojou commented,
"I liked it better when he just hallucinated." Akane yawned, and Minoru
blinked.
Sayaka blushed and slowly put her arms around Takeo and patted his
back calmly. She was used to herself breaking down, not her strong
Takakura-chan. "Shhh... it's okay..." she whispered to him calmly,
tears rolling down her face in response to his.
Minoru stared at the spectacle for a moment longer, then looked
down at Akane. "This is normal?"
She didn't look up, but leaned against him with her hands behind
her back. "This is normal."
END
Well... this was written not to impress or anything of the like, just to
practice this new set of characters that I only recently discovered. An
amazing and interesting new set of characters I might add. I hope
enough people out there have seen and liked Mahou TsukaiTai to comment
on this effectively as well as enjoy any fanfic I may seriously write
with it. I'm not looking for grammer and plot errors here, just
characterization flaws... I wrote this fast and simply as a test.
Thanks for reading,
