Anything Goes Martial fanfic writing?

for thos of you on the Dag list.. Balefire confronts a mighty force,
attempting to bend it to his will, using awesomely powerful tools..

and are any of us, whether the stalwarts of the Porcupine tales, or the
lurker who posts a short bit o' fiction on alternate thursdays, fighting a
lesser battle?

Keep Fighting, fellow Warriors!

Yeah!

Nice story. Although I respectfully disagree with you on one point.

Entropy is only the enemy if left unchecked. Oftentimes, Entropy changes
the direction of your story, forcing your characters to do things you have
not foreseen. How many times have your characters rebelled from under your
conceived plot, making it twist and turn in ways that you have not imagined
but now must?

Entropy is only the enemy if one goes against it entirely. How many times
have your stories come out stilted and contrived after you crack the whip
on characters that only follow their logical and internally consistent path?

Entropy is not the enemy. Change is not the enemy. Silence is the enemy.

"The story grew in the most convoluted way, as many people will be
surprised to learn. Writing episodically meant that when I finished one
episode I had no idea about what the next one would contain. When, in the
twists and turns of the plot, some event suddenly seemed to illuminate
things that had gone before, I was as surprised as anyone else."

want to HAVE BEEN writers."
