[Scene: Inside a darkened Nekohanten five people, Ranma, Ryouga,
Mousse, Dr. Tofu and Tatewaki Kunou, sit around a table drinking
sake.  Music begins in the background as each of the drunken males
clears his throat.]


[Ranma begins to sing with visions of his childhood in mind.]
	Did you ever have to make up your mind?
[He continues to swill his drink and thinks of the day he left 
 Ukyou behind for Okonomiyaki.]
	Pick up on one and leave the other behind
[Mousse and Ryouga put comforting hands on Ranma's shoulders as 
 they join in.]
	It's not often easy and not often kind
[All five shake their heads in despair.]
	Did you ever have to make up your mind?

[Ryouga begins to sing by himself as he has two visions, one of 
 Akane and one of Akari.]
	Did you ever have to finally decide?
[Tofu panics, thinking of his mother's "bride selection".]
	Say yes to one and let the other one ride
[Ryouga shudders and thinks of how he has both protected Akane's 
 honour and violated it at the same time.]
	There's so many changes and tears you must hide
[Tofu sighs with relief remembering how his mother figured things
 out and stopped forcing the issue.]
	Did you ever have to finally decide?

[Ranma and Mousse look at each other while both think about
 Shampoo, and Kunou thinks about the pig-tailed goddess...]
	Sometimes there's one with big blue eyes, cute as a bunny
[...Then Ranma envisions Kodachi, and shivers at the thought.]
	With hair down to here, and plenty of money
[Mousse sighs as he thinks about his beloved Shampoo...]
	And just when you think she's that one in the world
[Ryouga, Ranma and Kunou imagine Akane in her yellow skirt.]
	You heart gets stolen by some mousey little girl

[Ranma starts wondering about exactly how many fiances he does
 have...five?  Six?  Seven...?]
	And then you know you'd better make up your mind...
[Ryouga becomes miserable, accepting that Akane loves Ranma.]
	Pick up on one and leave the other behind
[Kunou winces at the thought of the pain he has suffered from 
 chasing his two loves.]
	It's not often easy and not often kind
[Mousse pours out more sake as he speaks the group's thoughts.]
	Did you ever have to make up your mind?

[Ranma, Kunou and Ryouga fantasize again about what they'd like
to do with Akane...]
	Sometimes you really dig a girl the moment you kiss her
[...Then the three scowl in frustration at the thought of Nabiki,
 while Tofu goes loopey at the thought of Kasumi.]
	And then you get distracted by her older sister
[A vision of Soun's "demon head" thing leaves them all fearful.]
	When in walks her father and takes you a line
	And says, "You better go home, son, and make up your mind"

[The five continue to sing together as the alcohol runs out.]
	And then you bet you'd better finally decide...
[Ryouga accepts that he's got no chance with Akane, who Ranma 
 admits he loves.]
	Say yes to one and let the other one ride
[Kunou begins to consider other lonely girls...Ukyou? Azusa...?]
	There's so many changes and tears you must hide
[All five finally pass out drunk on the floor.]
	Did you ever have to finally decide?

I was listening to my "Lovin' Spoonful's Greatest Hits" tape when 
the idea of this came to me.  First, Ranma and Ryouga singing it, 
then I thought "What about Kunou?", then Mousse, and finally Tofu 
when I remembered the "older sister" line.
