Yahoo! Time for me to go crazy! Who would've thought it would be possible to
throw in Sailor Moon and Shinseiki Evangelion into a blender and get something
out of it?
I'm not sure of what to call this- a crossover, or a fusion? A friend of mine
suggested that it might be both. I don't know, but this fic is definitely
something else. After all, I've taken few liberties in writing this fanfics,
some of them may seem inconsistent. That's because I'm still trying to come up
with more ideas- I hope I'll be able to hammer out the kinks as I go on.
C&Cs, MSTings (this'll be a hoot for MSTers!), and suggestions (to help
improve or fix some kinks) will be greatly appreciated- and in some cases,

Shinseiki Evangelion Sailor Moon
Episode 01:
	A MONSTER! / Usagi Is the Child?



	"Now what?" Tsukino Usagi frowned as the phone went dead and hung the headset
up. She was getting tired of this.
	Licking her vanilla ice cream, she exited the phone booth, wondering about
what to do now. She had received a mysterious letter which told her that she
had to go to Tokyo-3 immediately, and that somebody by the name Misato would
meet her. Confused, she complied, but nobody came. Even stranger was the fact
that the streets were totally deserted. "What am I gonna to do? I'm bored..."
	"Be patient, Usagi..." Luna meowed.
	Usagi glanced over to the cat, who reassured her that this 'Misato' would
come by soon. Sighing, she picked up the cat in her hands after wolfing down
the rest of her ice cream.
	Spotting a bakery shop, she drooled at the display of a delicious-looking
cake. "I'm hungry." She said it all, so she glanced both ways before crossing.
She did not reach halfway across before three missiles screamed through the
narrow streets and stirring up wind which uplifted Usagi's skirt.
	"Aiiiieeeeeee!!!!" Dropping Luna, she pulled down her blue skirt, angry.
"That's dangerous! Someone might see my panties!"
	"We've got to find out what's going on!" Luna bolted after the missiles.
	The missiles soon disappeared along the corner, but Usagi could hear the
explosions. She decided to follow Luna, piqued by her curiosity. "What's going
on? It sounds like a war!"
	They quickly turned around the corner and were astounded by what they were
witnessing. There were dozens of fighter hovercrafts in the air, launching
multiple missiles at a large object, which seemed unscathed despite the
onslaught. Then the 'object' moved.
	"Ieee... it's a monster!" Usagi screamed as the green grotesque monster
lurched and raised its arm. A rod-like appendage burst forth, disabling
several flying vessels. Then the creature turned around in direction of Usagi.
	"It saw us! It's coming after us!" Usagi wailed and began running away,
despite Luna's protests that it would be impossible because they were too
small for the creature to see.
	It turned out to be a good thing Usagi ran because moments later a hovercraft
crash-landed near the spot where she just had vacated before exploding.
However, Usagi did not stop running until she ran out of breath a block away.
	"Luna! What's going on?!" Usagi picked up the cat and began shaking her,
"Tell me! What's happening?!"
	"I-I d-ddo-n't k-knno-ww!-!" Luna managed out.
	Usagi dropped Luna (who was now feeling quite dizzy), and peered around the
corner. She saw a big machine hurtling towards her. She grabbed Luna's tail
and began running again, "Waahhhhh! I'm too young to die!"
	The hovercraft exploded as it crashed, knocking the girl to the street,
however a car sped out of nowhere and screeched to halt in front of Usagi,
protecting her from the brunt of the detonation. As the smoke subsided, the
car door swung open, revealing an angry woman.
	"Is that you, Tsukino Usagi?!"
	Usagi blinked in wonder, mumbling her agreement.
	"About the time I found you! Come on in- we don't have much time to spare!"
The angry lady pulled Usagi into the car, with Luna leaping in after the girl.
The blue car quickly sped off, avoiding yet another explosion.
	As the car drove on for a reasonable distance, Usagi turned to the lady with
purple hair, "Um, is that you, Misato-san?"
	"Yeah! Nice to meet ya, Rabbit!" Misato grinned cheerfully as she quickly
swerved her car around a flaming debris. "How'd you know?"
	"Hey! Don't call me Rabbit!" Usagi protested.
	"Oh, gomen ne! How'd you know it was me, anyway?"
	"Just a hunch," Usagi sweatdropped as she held up an image of Misato, with
words, 'I'll pick you up! Don't worry!' There was also a side note which said,
'P.S. Take a look at this!', indicating to Misato's cleavage.
	Misato blushed, "Oh my god! You got that picture, didn't you!? You weren't
supposed to get this one! It's actually Shinji-kun's, not yours." She quickly
grabbed the picture and shoved it inside her pretty dress.
	"Who?"
	"You'll meet him later, but I've got to take you to the base first. Here,
read this." Misato pulled out a NERV booklet.
	"Why? You mean-"
	"Yup, we're going there." Misato grinned again as she pumped the gas pedal.
"Unfortunately--"
	Misato never got chance to finish her sentence as an enormous explosion
rocked Tokyo-3 as N2 mine was dropped. The mine unleashed its fury by
incinerating its intended target (meaning the big green meanie) and flattened
several buildings. The shockwave also turned over countless vehicles,
including Misato's. Sounds of cat screeching rather loudly could be heard as
the car rolled over until it came to rest nearly quarter a mile away.
	When the dust finally settled, Misato coughed, "Gack! You all right, Rabbit?"
	"Hey!-!"
	Misato quickly clamped Usagi's mouth shut, "I'll take that as yes. I've got
to check things out. After all, it's part my job."
	Ignoring the dirty looks from the girl, she climbed out of the car and took a
quick survey. Usagi could hear a sample of Misato's 'professional' survives:
	"Auuuuuuuggggggghhhh!!!! My beautiful car's ruined! And I've still got 33
car-loan payments to go! Beautifully restored and it's now a total wreck!"
	"What! How in the world am I gonna get that big stain outta my dress?! That
was the *only* decent dress I had!"
	Sighing, Usagi turned to Luna, "You all right?" She could have sworn she
heard ringing somewhere.
	"If 'all right' means having an head-splitting headache, thanks to my hyper-
sensitive ears, then yes, I am. They're still ringing from that explosion..."
Luna moaned, rubbing her ears.
	"Oh." So that's where ringing noises came from...
	Few minutes later, Misato stepped into the car purposefully and gunned the
engine. Soon, they were underway to some location that Usagi had never heard
of before. "Hope there's some info in that book Misato-san gave me," Usagi
thought as she opened the guidebook again and tried to read it.
	However, she had a problem...
	"Misato-san?"
	"What?" Misato tried to smile cheerfully despite her obvious angst.
	Usagi glanced up with a small sweatdrop, "Um, what does this book say? I
don't understand these long words."
	"Oh, for God's sake..." Luna moaned.
	The blue car swerved around wildly before it entered a tunnel heading towards
NERV. 


	"Okay what's going on?" Usagi Tsukino muttered as she chomped on her
delicious meal of candies.
	Misato grinned sheepishly as she glanced back to her map, apparently lost.
"Um, I'll tell you later. It's nothing--"
	"Take the left route and you should be on the way to the Control Center."
Luna pointed out.
	Misato sweatdropped and turned to the cat sitting on her shoulder, "Um,
thanks for help. It's just that I'm still new to this place..."
	"Yeah, I suppose."
	"How come you can talk? I thought cats weren't supposed to talk."
	"Well, let's just say that I'm a special case."
	Usagi interrupted, "But remember- you won't tell anybody about Luna, will
you?"
	"Don't worry, I won't. It's just that Luna surprised me back in the car."
Misato halted as she scratched her head in confusion, "I could've sworn that
the doors were back that way.
	"They were." Luna sighed and jumped off her, landing in Usagi's arms.
	"Why are you wasting my time again?"
	Misato grimaced as she recognized the voice, "Oh, it's you, Ritsuko-san.
Sorry about that."
	Usagi turned to face the woman in white trenchcoat, "Who are you?"
	Ritsuko ignored the girl and asked Misato, "Who's she? I thought Shinji was
supposed to be coming."
	"Um, well, his train got canceled at the last minute, so he won't be coming
here for another day. However, I did manage to pick up Rabbit here..."
	"HEY!" Usagi interrupted angrily. "Stop calling me that!"
	Ritsuko was not so amused, "Spare me names, we don't have time. However,
since Misato referred you by that name..." She realized something as she
turned to Usagi, "Wait a minute, you're Usagi? As in Tsukino Usagi, the Fourth
Child we've been looking for?"
	Usagi blinked, "'Fourth...?' What are you talking about?"
	Ritsuko looked pained as she tried to speak again, "No time. Follow me, I've
got to show you something at the Cage."
	"You're taking me to jail?"
	Ritsuko groaned, "No, I'm not." She quickly shot off a question to Misato,
'Are you *sure* she's the one?'  before beckoning Usagi to follow her.
	"Real smart, Usagi." Luna muttered.
	Things were getting stranger by every minute. Pulling another piece of cookie
from her skirt pocket, Usagi complained, "Will someone please tell me what's
going on?" 


	Not only she was confused, Usagi was also hungry and lost. Ritsuko had led
Misato and her through a maze of corridors and tunnels before finally reaching
their destination. They entered a darkened room, and then suddenly, lights
flashed on.
	Usagi squinted her eyes in bright lights until they adjusted. The first thing
she saw was an enormous purple head leering at her. "WAHHH!" She involuntarily
jumped backwards and nearly toppled over the edge into the pinkish liquid.
"What is that thing?"
	"Built here in secret, this is Evangelion Unit 01. As things stand right now,
it is mankind's only chance at survival."
	"What's this? Where is the spare pilot?"
	Everyone glanced upwards to a control booth high above the purple beast and
saw Gendo gritting his teeth. Obviously he was upset about something.
	Ritsuko hesitated, not wanting to break the bad news to the Commander,
"Commander, I'm afraid that due to some technical difficulties, Shinji won't
be coming here for quite some time."
	"You're telling me that there's nobody here to pilot Unit 01?" Gendo growled.
	"Well, there is, sir."
	"And who is this person?"
	Ritsuko gestured to Usagi, "This is the Fourth Child, Tsukino Usagi. Captain
Katsuragi picked her up earlier this morning."
	Gendo was rarely privy to the slightest emotion, but his outburst caught
everyone by surprise, "WHAT?! You mean that incompetent and k-k..." Gendo
struggled to find the term, then spoke again, "Klutzy girl?!"
	When Usagi heard his words, she sweatdropped. Apparently, even in the lowest
depths of NERV, reputation for her clumsy feats still flourished.
	After several minutes of loud ranting, Gendo finally subsided, spent. He
leaned forward against the plexiglass of his deck, moaning. For the first
time, he realized how foolish he had been in establishing NERV. "The mankind
is doomed for sure..."
	As if to punctuate Gendo's reply, the entire complex shook as an explosion
rocked the place. A tech walked up to him and reported, "Commander, the Angel
has recovered completely from the N2 mine and is advancing. United Nations is
demanding that you act immediately. Sir."
	"Of all people, why did this have to happen to me?" Gendo grated.
	As the explosions continued, Ritsuko couldn't stand it any longer.
"Commander! If we're going to stop that Angel, we've got to do it now, or
everything will be wiped out!"
	Another blast rocked the place as the Angel finally penetrated the armor
plating. "Commander! The armor plating has been breached!" The tech shouted,
but kept his place.
	Gendo, however, continued to grit his teeth. Ritsuko tried again, "I know
you're not happy about Usagi being the Fourth Child- I'm not either! However,
since Shinji isn't here, we have no choice but have Usagi pilot Unit 01! You
know that if there's any chance, *any* chance at all--"
	"--that she might be able to synchronize with Unit 01, then we must take it."
Gendo finished.
	Misato blinked, following the entire exchange, then leaned to Ritsuko and
whispered, "You're not serious, are you? I mean, having the Rabbit pilot that
thing..."
	"We've got no choice."
	"Geez..."
	Gendo finally spoke again, "All right, let's sortie the Fourth Child into the
Unit. Prepare the Unit for launch!"
	Meanwhile, throughout the entire incident, Usagi and Luna could only stand
there and wonder just what was going on. As Gendo gave out the orders, Misato
put her hand on Usagi's shoulder and spoke gently, "How are you doing,
Rabbit?"
	Usagi was too confused to pay attention to Misato's usage of 'Rabbit', "I
don't understand what's going. You guys keep on saying that I'm the 'Fourth
Child' or something like that, and you want me to drive this robot?"
	"Actually, it's an artificial humanoid Evangelion model- a test-type, but
it's not a robot." Ritsuko corrected her. "Can you do it? We need your...
help." She swallowed as she said the last word.
	"You need my help? Why?
	"Let's just say that only young kids like you can operate Evangelions. The
schematics are too complex for you to understand. Just accept it. Will you get
into Unit 01 and beat the Angel?"
	"Angel? You're talking about that green monster, right? I don't know. I don't
know how to run that thing! How in the world can I help you?! I'm just a
klutzy girl!" Satisfied, Rei? Usagi frowned.
	"And if you can't, we'll have to ask Rei to do it." Ritsuko replied.
	"Rei?!" Usagi shouted in shock, "What happened?"
	"Don't worry, Rei Ayanami's been hurt badly, but she's okay. Can you do it?"
Misato reassured her.
	"Ayanami? I thought..."
	"You can see her after this, but can you help us out?"
	"Well, I don't know. I mean, I don't know how to drive..."
	Misato reassured her, "Don't worry, we'll help you out. You just have to sit
inside it and we'll take care of things from there."
	Usagi turned to Luna, eyes pleading about what to do. The cat whispered into
her, "I don't know what's going on, but I think you should do what they say. I
don't like the way the old woman said about Rei. I think it's okay if you just
sit there in the machine..."
	"I don't know about it, but since you said so, I'll do it..." Usagi replied
uncertainly to Luna.
	However, Misato overheard her words and mistook them as Usagi reply to her
question. "You'll do it? Thank you!"
	Ritsuko stepped in, "Good. We don't have much time to spare. If you'll just
follow me tot he Entry Plug..."
	Usagi gulped and fell in behind the woman. In a minute, she found herself
inside an Entry Plug as it was being inserted into the purple machine, minus
Luna. Misato had volunteered to take care of Luna while Usagi was busy. Usagi
decided to listen to the usual tech blabber. "All connections are normal.
Entry Plug inserted. Filling the plug with LCL. Don't worry, just let the
liquid fill your lungs. Once they're filled with LCL, they'll be oxygenated
directly..."
	Usagi did not hear the last sentence because she quickly screamed as her
capsule was being flooded with orange liquid. "I'm gonna drown!!!!" Usagi
realized that when she screamed, she had expelled all oxygen out of her lungs
and began gagging down on the liquid.
	"CALM DOWN! You'll be fine! Just let air out of your lungs and you'll be
fine!" Ritsuko shouted into her mike.
	After few minutes of gagging, Usagi realized that she was actually
*breathing* the stuff. "Hooww inn theesh--?" She gurgled out as she wasn't
used to speaking with liquid inside her vocal passageways.
	The receivers inside the plug relayed the information to the control center
where everyone was monitoring Usagi's progress. Many people burst into
giggling fit and Misato laughed lightly, "Hey, Rabbit? Are you okay?"
	"Me thunks sero."
	Gendo groaned. He was beginning to wonder if he would ever live to see sun
again. Not likely, he thought as Ritsuko asked if Usagi can go on.
	"Yerh, I thinke so." Usagi was getting used to the liquid, even though it was
still unnerving and nauseous to her. The next phase of connection disoriented
her even further.
	Lights flared as the Unit One attempted to synchronize with the klutzy girl.
The light show was quickly replaced with an enormous viewscreen in front of
her, enabling her to see what was going on outside. Awed, she tried to reach
out, thinking it was a window.
	"It's a holographic presentation. It enables you to see what's going on
outside the Unit." Ritsuko explained irritably. Must she explain everything to
her? The girl's so dense!
	"All circuits normal. The synchronization rate is holding at about 37.2%. All
indicators show green. No abnormalities detected." Maya reported.
	"A-a thirty-seven percent? I don't believe it!" Ritsuko gasped and turned to
Misato, "We can do it! That klutz actually synchronized with the Unit!!"
	Inwardly, Ritsuko pondered, "How is it possible? By normal means, Usagi
shouldn't be able to synchronize at all! Something's going on here..."
	"What's going on? What am I superposed to do?" Usagi was still perplexed.
	"You'll do fine, just try and remember what I told you about piloting the
Unit. Do that and you'll get by." Ritsuko replied, nodding to Misato who
understood her query. The Unit One was prepared for the launch.
	"HANSHIN!" Misato shouted.
	"What're you ta-- h-hey!-! Wai-t! I can't do t-this-s-s-s-s-s!-!-!" Usagi
wailed as the Unit 01 was launched at high velocity into a tunnel. Intense g-
forces pressed her into her seat as the unit accelerated through the twisting
tunnels.
	It seemed like eternity for Usagi until the ride ended abruptly. She lurched
upwards as the elevator screeched to halt, guiding the Unit to the exit in the
middle of a street in Tokyo-3. It was already dark, she realized as she slowly
observed the city, and the Tokyo-3 was still deserted. That and she was also
pretty high up above the ground.
	Her solitude did not last for long when an Angel appeared as it turned a
corner of a building, facing the Evangelion. In shock, Usagi stared at the
ugly monster as its core flared red.
	Back at the NERV headquarters, Misato silently thought, "Can she handle it?
Did I make a mistake? Please do not get killed out there, Rabbit." Luna echoed
Misato's thoughts.
	"Aaaaa..." Usagi let out slowly until it became a full-throated scream.
	"AAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
