I don't know about the Ukyou best friend part, but it
seems to me that its a sweet story with a nice ending.
Thats sort of the point. The story has them ending up
together but it doens't say that they should always
end up together. They're not even dating or somesuch,
just two lonely people spending time together. As for
Shampoo's tribal obligation, it appears to me to be a
matter of opinion. She just doesn't really want Mousse
that much.  Its got an optimistic yet sad ending, not
exactly the worst thing to have. I like the way Ukyou
was handled in the fic, and especially the way that
Ryoga and Akane interacted. Etc. etc. I'm done.
