This is really a variation of the old "are the curses passed on to the
next generation" question. If they aren't, then only the mother becomes
cursed. If they are, then the child MIGHT be cursed also. I can't
think of a reason why the curse would bypass the mother.
As a side note, if the curses aren't passed on, then pregancy becomes
very hazardous for a cursed woman. Suppose Shampoo is pregnant and gets
splashed with water. She changes into a cat, but her baby stays
human...
I've read several fics dealing with this. 'Scheduling' (Is that spelled
right?) States basically that a curse renders someone sterile. There
are several fics that make it so that if a cursed female, or male who is
female at the time, becomes pregnant they get 'locked' as a girl until
the pregnancy is over. 'She's having my WHAT?' had the baby remain
feline even though Shampoo was human while delivering... if you didn't
read it don't ask. I am right now writing a fic which uses the 'Life
and Times' mechanism, (Sorry Donny). It's stated at the end of 'Sailor
Moon R 1/2' that all of Ranma's children are female.
Of course there always 'What if a boy with a Nyaanichaun curse and a
girl with a Naanichaun curse have a kid... uh oh!
Now that I've put that image into your head, have a nice day.
I think I will thank you.
