This fanfic just came shooting out of my head. It had to be written.
Anyway on with the show.

Send C&C and stuff, I love it! (Even if it's bad ^_^).

Info: This fic takes place before Nadoka ever showed up.

WARNING: The following fanfiction may be a bit dark and maybe lemon
scented (in the beginning). This fic may contain scenes of gratuitous
and extreme violence. Swearing too. You have been warned. You might want
to be 18 before you read this, but hey, anyone can probably get this
and read it, so I won't bother. The kiddies are probably all out there
reading lemons anyway. Oh well, if you aren't turned off yet, read on!

(Standard disclaimer: Ranma 1/2 and its associated characters
created by Rumiko Takahashi. You know the drill, etc etc etc.)

Ranma + Ryoga (OAV Mini-series)

----------------
Part 1 "Crossing Enemies"

Without thunder or lightning, without wind, the night had come in
silently. Otherwise the feeling in the air lent an anticipation of a
coming storm, be it either a physical manifestation or one that was not
so physical but just as dangerous.

In Nerima, Tokyo, two dark figures leapt from roof to roof, one chasing
the other. The night was silent except for the occasional hard breaths
each expelled as they launched themselves upwards between each house
they landed on.

The moon momentarily reflected in one of the boy's eyes as he descended
upon the other's back, one arm stretched upwards in balance. The other
was extended, sweeping sideways, in preparation of a strike. As he
glided downwards, he began to imagine what it would be like as his fist
crushed the spine.

However, his victim, seemingly able to sense the danger, jumped
sideways, twisting into a midair turning leap, a pigtail at the back of
his head whipping around in the same motion.

The attacker cursed inwardly as the figure dodged just before his strike
would have hit. He landed hard atop the rooftop ripping a large groove
with his lowered arm as he tried to slow himself down. Skidding to a
stop, further destroying more roof tiles, the stocky boy stood upright
as he adjusted his orange and black bandanna. He looked around in
confusion. The other boy had somehow vanished.

"Ryoga, you've got to stop this." The voice came from behind him.

Spinning around, surprised, Ryoga snarled in anger. "Never, Ranma." His
legs tensed as he prepared to once again leap at his opponent. "For all
the pain and suffering you put me through, prepare to die!"

Ranma's blue eyes narrowed as he prepared for the attack. "Look pig
boy, I know it's my fault for your curse already, but you can't blame
everything that goes wrong in your life on me."

The other boy's eyes lit up in green fire. "Why not? It all leads back
to you!" More roof tiles crumbled as he gave a gigantic leap. "Tonight,
I swear I'll get my revenge!"

Ranma, however, was already moving out of the way, somersaulting over
his enraged attacker. "I don't even know what you're blaming me for
this-" But as he prepared to twist in midair to come down facing his
attacker, he felt a vice-like grip close around his ankle.

"Got you!" Ryoga's voice called out, just before he felt himself being
swung like a whip towards the roof. Desperately, Ranma tried to wriggle
his ankle free from the vice-like hand, but the stocky boy with the
bandanna was far too strong. The stars in their background of black sky
blended into thin white lines as he picked up velocity.

Roof tiles crunched around his cheek, some even cutting into his face,
as he was slammed belly first into the hard roof top. Not letting
himself black out from the pain, he slid backwards and kicked his
attacker's legs out from under him. Ryoga fell down hard on his back
with a loud crash, shaking the roof top. Ranma dodged some erant kicks
aimed at his head as he handsprung on to his feet, and gained some
distance.

"That's it Ryoga," Ranma said quietly as he wiped some blood from his
lip. "You want a serious fight, well now you'll get one."

The bandanna-clad boy backflipped upright, and grinned in anticipation.
"C'mon girl-boy." A sharp fang appeared in the corner of his mouth.
"I've been serious a long time now."

Ranma growled angrily, and spun forward in a viscous roundhouse kick,
which was too fast for Ryoga to completely block. He was knocked
backwards, but still upright, gauging twin streaks in the badly
scrapped roof almost managing to propel him from the top of the house.

"C'mon Ranma, you hit like a girl," Ryoga taunted, unfazed from the
massive hit. "Now try a real man's hit! BAKUSAI TENKETSU!" He smashed
his fingers into the scrapped roof tiles sending shrapnel everywhere.

Reflexively, Ranma knelt down and covered his eyes with his hands as
sharp bits of rock and ceramic exploded all around him. Then an orange
blur seemed to come out of nowhere and an instant later he was flying
backwards, airborne, his stomach feeling like it had caved in and died.

Ryoga landed with a loud crunch, ankle deep in roof debris. He flexed
his fingers and watched in satisfaction as his hated enemy cleared the
edge of the roof and dropped down with a loud crash on to the upper
balcony of the next house. The bandanna-clad boy smiled when wash water,
left in buckets on the balcony, splashed all over Ranma, turning
him into the girl form that he so hated.

"That was a dirty trick, Ryoga!" the newly formed girl shouted hoarsely.
She stood up shakily, coughing out blood, as she picked out the
various needle-like rocks and clay that were embedded in her arms.

Ryoga grinned, but didn't answer. Jumping from the roof, he somersaulted
as he threw several bandannas from his head, each one seeming to defy
physical law as it revolved into a sharp and deadly weapon.

Ranma jumped up to intercept him in the air, twisting her body and
dodging the incoming projectiles. It was no contest. Ryoga was struck
several times, face, chest, arms and legs, before he knew what was
happening. Ranma's immense speed and skill in the air was unmatched.
It ended with her giving him a spinning aerial somersault kick in the
face, propelling him downwards to crash land on another house.

Ranma smirked, wiping some sweat darkened red hair from her eyes, as she
softly landed a few feet away from her attacker.

The bandanna-clad boy snarled in anger as he slowly raised himself
to hands and knees. He spat out a tooth. "For that, you pay!" His
green eyes started to glow a red hue in the night's darkness.

"Sorry Ryoga, but the only person I owe money to at the moment is
Nabiki, and that ain't you pig boy-" She was cut off when Ryoga
ripped a huge tile from the roof and threw it at her. She went into
a backflip to dodge the projectile.

"Ha ha, you'll have to do better than that- urk!" she landed on a
loose roof tile. It was all the time that Ryoga needed.

Jumping forward quickly he brought up his arms and clenched both
hands into a double-fist making a club. He brought this down with
tremendous force on to the stumbling girl's left knee making a
sickening snapping sound. "What was that Ranma?"

Ranma screamed as she felt her leg explode in a fire of pain. She
stumbled backwards, out of control, before tripping over a roof tile.
She grunted as she fell on her back and slid down the roof, head first,
before clearing the edge and falling down into the dark alleyway below.
She free-falled for what seemed like an eternity before her teeth
jarred painfully as she landed on her back amid trash cans and rubbish.

Then suddenly her breath exploded out of her as something, or someone,
landed on top of her. She felt hard hands wrench her wrists painfully
to the sides as a hard muscled chest squashed her breasts. Ranma
opened her eyes to find a smirking Ryoga lying down on top of her,
completely pinned.

"Get off me you perverted bastard-" Ryoga let go of one her arms and
slapped her hard in the face. Her head was knocked sideways, her teeth
mashing against the inner right side of her cheek cutting the inside
open. She tasted the blood that started to pool in her mouth. This only
made her angrier.

Using her free right arm she ploughed her elbow upwards as hard as she
could into Ryoga's stomach. He wheezed painfully but didn't budge.
"You little bitch!" he shouted. He regained his grip on her slender arm
and tightened his fist until he heard it break with a loud pop. He felt
it go limp in his hand as Ranma cried out painfully.

"Now, Ranma ..." Ryoga enjoyed the tears beginning to leak out of his
worst enemy's eyes. "What should I do with you?"

Ranma wriggled around furiously, trying to break free. It was a useless
effort. "Pig boy! I bet you enjoy this don't you? Having a female body
under you! Gives you a sense of power! Big man, whose nose bleeds
whenever Akane looks at you funny!"

Ryoga's eyes began to blaze red again. Ranma unwisely, didn't notice,
she was too scared at the helplessness she felt. She was utterly
vulnerable. Ryoga was immensely strong and she was pinned with one arm
and one leg broken.

"Yeah, you're just a big pervert! You get your damn willies out of this,
huh?" she shouted. "Don't you see I'm a fucking guy? Get off of me!"

Ryoga's temper just snapped at all the insults Ranma had fired off at
him. He began to smile evilly, eyes luminant in the darkness.
"But that's just it Ranma." All of Ryoga's anger and Ranma's
provocactive squirming under him finally let their effect known. He
began to get hard. "You don't look like a guy don't you?" He let
his left arm lower and squeezed one of her breasts painfully. "You
don't feel like one either."

Ranma began to panic more as she felt Ryoga's 'thing' snake up and begin
poking her in the belly. "Ryoga? What the fuck are you doing? I'm a guy,
damn you!" Her eyes widened as she finally noticed Ryoga's furious, but
strangely blank expression.

Ryoga let go of Ranma's breast and punched her in the face, instantly
knocking her out. And now Ranma, he thought to himself. You get yours!

~*~*~*~

Ryoga slowly woke up. Eye's still closed, he ached all over. For some
reason he couldn't think of right now, he had scratches all over his
upper torso and arms. And his shirt was torn in the middle. He opened
his eyes. It was dawn, he guessed, judging from the amount of light.

What the hell? he thought as full awareness returned to him. He sat up
and surveyed his surroundings. What am I doing in an alleyway? He
looked down at himself. And with my pants lowered? Then slowly, the
events from last night began to rush back into his memories. Oh no, he
thought. Extremely hesitant, he looked beside him, afraid of what he
would see. Sure enough, Ranma was lying there, still in girl form. She
was flat on her back, shirt ripped open, bruises all over her breasts
and face.

Ryoga felt his stomach began to bubble acidly as he looked at her lower
body. Her legs were slightly spread out, pants shred into so many pieces
of black cloth. Dried blood covered her naked lower torso and upper
legs. Some other dried fluids surrounded her inner thighs. Ryoga didn't
even want to guess what it was.

Abruptly, Ryoga stood up, but tripped over his lowered pants, smacking
his face on to the dirty stone floor. The pain shocked him enough that
he could no longer hold in his nausea. Vomit poured out of his mouth,
while his nose exploded in blood as he realized just what he had done
last night. He must've gone mad! But no, he could not deny it to himself
any longer. He 'had' been attracted to Ranma's female body. Maybe for a
long time now. Maybe that was why he so hated Ranma. It was easier to
hate someone else than hate himself. He waited until the last trace of
bile left his stomach, then shakily got up on his knees, wriggling into
his pants. He crawled over to Ranma to check if she was still alive. She
had a pulse. Just barely.

Ryoga stood up as he came to a decision. After phoning for an ambulance
for Ranma, he would leave Nerima forever. Never to come back. He could
face Akane after this. He didn't deserve her.

He looked down at the unconscious girl, her chest barely rising as she
struggled for breath. First he had to wipe all traces of what he had
done to her. Maybe Ranma would never tell anyone. He hoped.

17 years later

~*~*~*~

The tall heavy-set man with black hair in a dark orange bandanna stared
up at the blinding sun amid its crowd of greyish clouds. His grass green
eyes looked troubled in the morning light. A worried frown marred the
otherwise smooth forehead, set above a harshly angled but handsome face.
The surrounding woodlands was silent and still. Not one bird sang it's
usual song of the dawn.

Even before the strange feeling he got last night, Ryoga Hibiki should
have known trouble was coming. Getting up from sleep and going for a
short walk only contributed to the sense of suffocation with which he
had awakened. Of course it was only a short walk, in case he got lost.
And now this disaster happened.

Earlier, coming back from his walk to their campsite, Ryoga had looked
down fondly at his sleeping wife. She looked cute in her sleeping bag
next to the campfire that had since gone out from last night. He and
Akari had been married almost fifteen years now. At the time he was
most messed up, Akari had swept into his life like a brushfire, her
love, and his love for her, giving him another and maybe his only
reason to live. He was thankful now, that he didn't win Akane all those
many years ago, otherwise he would have never known the grand passion he
knew with Akari. And she accepted his curse, even loved him more for it.

He had then turned around to look at her pet pig, but strangely he
was not where he had laid down to sleep last night. Katsunnishi was
nowhere to be seen. Funny since the damn thing was about two meters high
and weighed at least two thousand pounds.

Then searching the surrounding forest area had revealed the answer.
Katsunnishi's decapitated head was found hanging in a nearby tree, black
pig's blood slowly leaking from the severed neck.

The rest of Katsunnishi's body was not found.

Ryoga looked at the head in shock, a hot denial wanting to burst from
his lips. But he knew this was no dream. It was reality. He studied
the dead pig's head hoping for some sort of clue to whatever did it. It
was not a clean cut. In fact if Ryoga didn't think it was impossible, he
would have thought that 'someone' just pulled it off. The four inch
length of spinal cord protruding from the neck did seem broken however
and not cut.

Ryoga didn't know how to break it to Akari that her prized pig was now
dead. He dreaded the moment she woke up and saw the carnage. Then he
grew horrified as another thought struck him. What if the sicko who had
done this was still around? It was definitely another martial artist.
There was no trail left behind, no ordinary person or animal could
have gone undetected by Ryoga's considerable skill. In fact the only
sign left behind that a person had been to their campsite, then silently
left, aside from the morbid trophy, was a long black bandanna. Ryoga
had found it, silently fluttering in the morning breeze, tied to a
branch next to the one Katsunnishi's head was hanging off.

Ryoga knew of only one person who was this good, and would have a grudge
against him. He grew pale at the thought. But after all this time, why
would he come after him now? Why not seventeen years ago?

Akari sighed out loud as she came awake. Ryoga immediately ran to her
side. His clothes were a bit dusty from the dirt he had dug up to bury
the pig's head. He had buried it earlier as he thought it best that
Akari not see it.

"Akari, get dressed. We have to go. Now."

Akari yawned as she sat up in the sleeping bag. "What's the matter,
Ry-chan? We have to leave early so that we can reach the village
we're due at next?" She got up onto her knees and started gathering her
clothes. "You take this martial arts teaching business seriously. But I
guess you need me, after all you'd just get lost." She smiled up at him.
The smile slowly faded as she noted Ryoga's tight expression.
"What's wrong?"

Ryoga helped her to dress quickly, while at the same time packing up
their camping gear and other equipment. "I'll explain later. But we have
to go."

~*~*~*~

Later at the chinese village that was their next stop, Ryoga and Akari
were sitting down eating outside the guest house using one of the
external tables. Several children were crowding around their table,
excited that the travelling martial arts sensei had finally arrived to
teach them. Unconcerned villagers walked by leaving their children to
their curiosity.

"Now then, Ry-chan ... what was with the rush this morning? And where's
Katsunnishi? You didn't leave him behind did you?"

"Thank you," Ryoga said to the girl placing food on their table. The
tall slender girl with black hair nodded at him. He looked at Akari,
worried how she would react to the news. "Akari. He's dead."

All the blood drained out of Akari's face leaving a pale ghost-like
image instead of her usual vibrant self. "No!" Tears began to fall
and leave streaks on her cheeks.

"I'm sorry." Ryoga couldn't meet her eyes anymore and looked away. He
couldn't stand to see her like this.

"H-how did this happen?" she cried.

Ryoga turned back around, his eyes blazing green fire. "Some sicko
killed him, that's what! I found his body, at least what was left of it,
this morning." He cracked his knuckles. "And if I ever find the guy who
did this, he's gonna wish his parents never laid eyes on each other.
Hey!" Hot Ramen splashed all over his pants.

"Oh, so sorry, kind sir!" It was the girl who had served them their food
earlier. Ryoga glared at her angrily. What incompetence! Then looking at
her face, he noticed something strange. Her right eye was blue, the
colour of the sky, while her other was green. This was set on an
extremely attractive face, which seemed totally unrepentant to what she
had just done, despite the apologies she was mouthing. In fact, her
expression looked downright smug.

Ryoga stared at her mystified, until Akari elbowed him in the side.
"Ry-chan, you're staring," she whispered.

Abruptly, Ryoga snapped out of it. "Heh, heh, sorry about that!" he said
embarrassedly, scratching at the back of his head. "It's just that, well
it seems like I should know you..."

"No worry, good sir." She smiled, her expression giving way to a
few cute dimples. "Bandanna-man probably say that to all cute girls."
The girl then turned around gracefully, carrying the empty bowl of ramen
she had spilled all on Ryoga's lap. Her long black hair swished around
and carressed Ryoga's face causing him to shiver. Trance-like he watched
her walk back into the hostel, her tall and slender figure swaying side
to side as she walked.

"Ry-chan!" Akari sobbed. "Katsunnishi is dead and all you can do is ogle
that hussy!"

~*~*~*~

Ryoga snapped awake. There was that feeling again. That feeling of
danger. This time he knew what it meant. He carefully got up off his
futon, taking care not to wake Akari. He looked out the window. It was
still dark. Early morning, Ryoga guessed.

Slipping on his yellow shirt and black pants silently, he then began
to open the door to the guest room they were staying in. Not even
letting the door creak once, even though it had rusty hinges, Ryoga then
crept out into the hallway. Noticing that the door to the room, where
he had put all his martial arts training equipment, was askew, he
silently walked over on the balls of his feet and looked inside. His jaw
dropped open. Everything was wrecked. From the various martial arts
weapons, equipment and practise dummies, all was destroyed. How could
have this been done silently? Ryoga stepped in, a crushed bokken
snapping underfoot. He was still in denial that this had happened. Then
suddenly his eye's glowed red in the room's darkness as his temper broke.
Whoever did this 'will' pay.

Not caring about noise anymore, he crashed outside the hostel, searching
with his senses. There. He felt it. A light aura leaping from tree to
tree slightly above him. His direction sense may be bad, but his ki
detecting skills have improved over the years. Whoever he was, he wasn't
getting away.

Launching himself upwards, using the lower limbs of a nearby tree, Ryoga
jumped from branch to branch until he was in the upper canopy of the
forest. He paused to again detect the aura, and found it moving away
in a northerly direction. He followed his senses and continued after it,
leaping from tree to tree. Sometimes when he found himself going in the
wrong direction, he was surprised that whoever he was chasing was still
in a close enough distance that he could follow.

After what seemed like an eternity of jumping on branches, he finally
spotted his quarry. He was dressed in a black hooded cloak, and leaning
on the tree's bough, idly tapping his foot on the branch he was standing
on.

"About time you got here, slow-ass." The voice was soft and dangerous.
It made Ryoga's hair on the back of his neck stand on end. It sounded
familiar and it didn't.

"Ranma! Is that you!" Ryoga growled out loud. "I thought you would've
known by now, not to cross me. You know what happened last time!" He
prepared to leap at the cloaked figure atop the tree branch.

The cloaked figure stayed unmoving, unconcerned at Ryoga's blatant
battle stance. "I always heard you were stupid pig-boy but I never
really believed it until now."

Ryoga only heard up until the 'pig-boy' part before he stopped
listening. Only one person ever called him that and knew about his curse
besides Akari. "Ranma! That is you! I should've killed you when I had
the chance! Did you kill Akari's pig?"

"I did. I hope it prepared you for what I'm now going to do with you."

"Ranma, die!" Ryoga leaped forwards hands outstretched. He wanted to
tear Ranma apart with his bare hands.

The cloaked figure raised its hands and intercepted Ryoga's grip. They
grasped each other hand to hand on top of the high tree branch.

"Bad mistake, Ranma!" Ryoga grinned evilly. "I've grown a lot stronger
since we last fought, and even then I was way stronger than you!" He
then tried to force the cloaked figure back. Surprisingly, he wasn't
even able to budge his adversary. "What the hell!" he shouted in
confusion as the cloaked figure actually began to force HIM back. This
isn't possible, he thought wildly. No one is stronger than I am!

"Yes, I bet I know what you're thinking right now, Ryoga. No one can be
stronger than you, right? Ryoga, the strongest man in the world."
Ryoga grew puzzled as he heard the soft husky voice close up. It sounded
feminine.

"Huh? Are you in girl form, Ranma?" She seemed a lot taller, as tall as
him even.

The cloaked figure tensed suddenly and in a shocking display of
strength, lifted up Ryoga up by his hands, spun him around, and slammed
his back into the tree's bough. His hands were pinned against the bark of
the tree, some of it cutting his skin. The figure's hood fell backwards.
A three foot long, night-black braid of hair fell revealed itself as it
snaked out of it's covering. Ryoga's eyes widened in shock as he
recognised the girl from yesterday. Blue and green fire blazed out of
furious eyes as she stared at him in scorn.

"Don't ever say my mother's name again. It's not worthy to come out of
your maggot infested lips," she said quietly, but said in such a way to
convey even more danger than if it had been shouted.

"I'm Ryanko Saotome. I'm just letting you know because it would be
polite if you knew your killer's name before you went and died.
Painfully." This last word was said in conjunction with a powerful
contraction of her hands, crushing Ryoga's fingers and almost breaking
them.

She let out an evil grin, showing sharp fangs. "Bye bye, father."

Well ... there I go again. I hope you guys liked it. Was the ending very
predictable? I certainly gave enough clues (hint: read the title! ^_^)

Anyways seeyas!
