An odd fic by Nicky Townsend
Nichan16@AOL.com

Some notes: I've had this story laying around for quite a while. There
are sections when one of the character's explains some thing that happened
before this fic, but that only becuase that charactes is from some books
that not everyone has read, so I thought it might help eveyone understand
why he is where he is. Also I've made promises to people that i will write
a sequel...one day. Send C&C to the adress at the top of the page. Flames will
be deleted. In other words...if you don't like it don't tell me.

Discalimer:
The vampires in this are copyrighted to Anne OBrian Rice. Ranma 1/2
belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and Viz Communications, Inc. In other
words... Its not mine.

			The Vampire Ranma
                            part 3

They proceded to a small caf on a street whos name he couldnt
pronounce. Lestat said it for him a couple of times and he finally got it
right.
(shaunt eleesay?) There was a bar, where people were standing , and lots of
tables. A tall man with golden skin and a suit even better talored the
Lestats,
sat in the far corner reading out of a fancy leather note book. Severals other
that were identical in design also litered the table. In Paris the sun had
only gone down a few hours, and David had been here reading since it had.

David must have sensed them because he looked up at their appoarch.
Shock. L-ll-lestat! What ever are you doing here, and who is that beautiful
man with you? Hes new isnt he? Shame on you! You truly are the brat
prince arent you? You really need to quit snaching us out or prime like
some kind of monster out of a story book!He had a strong upperclass
British accent.

But David, I just had to! Besides, he said it was okay first, anyway! Stop
treating me like a child. Im a hundred years older then you, at least!

Quit acting like a child, then. Dont do impulive things, like making new
vampires as soon as you come out of your catatonia! Marius will be very
unhappy with you! He was unhappy when you made me!David paused for a
moment when he remembered that they were in a crowed caf. A vein on
Lestats forehead was pulsing visibly and his fists were clenched at his
sides.Ooops. That wasnt very inteligent was it? Shall we go else where?

That might be a good idea Ranma threw in quickly, trying to asauge
whatever fight might brake out. David had obviously just breached a very
important taboo.

They followed David to a large hotel a few blocks away. The lobby was
bigger the the Tendos entire house, and had marble tile floor. The ceiling
was decorated with molding, accentuated by gold leafing. The molding had
been designed to remind those who entered of the great cathedrals that one
only sees in Rome, complete with butresses, arches, and pseudo-pillars
sculpted into the walls themselves. Between pillars, the walls were lined in
white velvet, and mahogany panneling. All the furniture was of the same
wood, and of the same delicate, Elizibethan design. They crossed the
massive room and entered an elevator which took them to the top floor. The
steped into the largest, most luxrious room Ranma had ever seen. Lestat and
David seemed totaly at home amongst this splendor. The seated themselves
on a large couch that was covered in a heavy velvet. Not used to such things,
Ranma sat down in front of the coffee table in the standard Japanese sitting
position. Lestat and David eyed him for a moment.

And just what are you looking at?

Why are you sitting on the floor?

Um, and where did you think I was from?

You english is awfuly good.David threw in.

You thought I was american? Geez. Last I checked I had Japanese written
all over me. You have acsess to the roof right? Would you like to learn
something about me?

Ranma opened a window, and floated up to the roof. Lestat and David were
quick to follow him. David, did you ever take some kind of fighting style?

I took boxing at Cambridge.

See if you can block this! Keshu-Tensin-Amaguriken! Davis had seen
nothing like this anywhere. Even with his vampiric speed, many of Ranmas
punches got threw.

If thats how you are now, what were you in life? David asked as he
gasped for breath.

I was the heir to the Saotome school of Anything Goes Martial Arts. I have
never lost a fight. Hey Lestat, did I ever tell you that you look like a
pansy?
I cant believe that your going senile after only a two hundred years! What a
wimp.

David did not understand why Ranma would say this to Lestat of all people
*Maybe he doesnt know what a short temper Lestat has*

Ranma could see the anger flowing out of Lestat. How you dare you say
that to me! After what I did for you. Lestat made the mistake of trying to
get Ranma by the throat. Ranma began to orbit Lestat very fast. Lestat was
now caught in the middle, and had no idea of what Ranma was going to do.
Ranma cupped his hands together and aimed at Lestat. When he felt the chi
reach critical mass, he let it go Hiryu-Shoten-Ha!

David saw Lestat enveloped in a spiral mass of pure enegy. A few moments
later when it disapated, Lestat stood in the center looking totaly dazed, and
not really sure where he was. His hair was now a tangled mess and his coats
bottons had ripped off altogether. Mother? Lestat hit the roof with a loud
thunk.

Wow. Im glad that I can still channel my chi, even if Im dead. It would
have really been terrible to lose that after I trained so hard to learn it.
He
cracked his knuckles a few times. He turned away so that he was looking off
the building he was silent for a moment. His hands were cupped again like
the were when he released the blast from earlier. After a few more seconds
another blast of a different nature erupted from his hands. Mouko
Takabisha! He craned his neck to the side and it popped loudly, and
streched his arms in front of him , his elbows also making a resounding
snap. Ah that felt good

David was now gawking uncontrolably You mean you could do that when
you were alive? His accent made him sound totaly rediculous.

I could do a lot of things when I was alive. I used to be scared of cats. It
was so bad that I would start acting like one, myself, if I was exposed to
them long enough. I turned into a girl when I was splashed with cold water.
Hot water turned me back. I was engaged to three people. Actualy, by the
laws of Shampoos tribe, we were already married

Shampoo? Like the hair care product?

It was really Xian-pu, but we just called her Shampoo. Oh, cold water
turned HER into a cat. Then there was that guy, Mousse, who was almost
blind, who kept trying to get Shampoo to marry him. His real Chinese name
was Mu-su. He turned into a duck. Even as a duck he still needed his coke
bottle glasses to see. The worst was Shampoos Obaba-san, Cologne. Or
Koh-lon, the Chinese version, I belive. She was literaly three hundred years
old and she was still human.

Davids eyes had nearly rolled out of his head by this point. And Id
thought Id seen it all.

Ranma turned to look at David. Lestat said that you were the head of some
kinda psychic brotherhood, or something. In your records, did you ever see
mention of a place in China, Qinghai province, Bayankala Range, called
Jusenkeyo?

David nearly jumped out of his skin at the mention of Jusenkeyo. You went
THERE? WHY?

So you know what Im talking about? My father, who cant read a word of
chinese, mind you, took me there as part of my martial arts training

Your father is a moron.

Wait till you meet him. Remember how I said that I was engaged to three
people? His fault! I really miss one of them though.

Are you sure its wise for me to meet him? What if?

At the Tendo Dojo, this kinda stuff is an everyday occurrence. But to tell
you the truth though, I doubt anyone will even notice anything is wrong.
Hey, Lestat is waking up!

Oh my, he will be angry with you David said, although he did not look to
worried. Of any of the fledglings Lestat had made, this one could take care
of himself better then all the others and Lestat put together.

Man there aint nothing he could do to me that hasnt already been done in
some form or another. And ya know, he said my techniques wouldnt work
on him? What a liar.

David shook his head knowingly Lestat has always been know for that. But
you know he does not know hes lying most of the time? He really does try
to be honest. He told you he tried to commit suicide right? Do you know
why? He had convinced himself that he wanted to die although he didnt
really think he could. He exposed himself to the sun for two days in the
Gobi desert trying, and it still didnt work. And guess whos house he
showed up at 4:00 in the morning? He sure gave my hired help a fright.
They found him naked and burnt to a crisp on my tiger skin rug. But as I
said, he is known for this sort of thing"

			**************************

Two weeks past. Then a month. Soon it was a year. Lestat had been trying to
keep him from going back. He wanted Ranma all to himself. David
published a book he called Pandora. Ranma couldnt wait anymore. He
knew there was a posiblity that she might not believe him, that she might go
crazy, that she might see him as evil, that she might try to kill him for
leaving her. There was only one way to find out.

He made sure that he arrived at the Tendo dojo very late. The sun would rise
in three or four hours. It hurt him now, to look up at his old bedroom
window, where he knew his father still slept. He could see his fathers
dreams. He had become honorless to himself, when his son had left. He tore
his eyes and his mind away from his father. An even more intense bolt of
feeling knifed him when he looked at Akanes window. She was awake. She
had become depressed in the time he was gone, and was almost a different
person entirely. He floated slowly up to her window and used his power to
move the bolt locking the window aside. He slowly slid the window open
with his mind he heard a gasp from inside the room. He perched in the
window and looked around. Akane was indeed awake. She stared at him
now, not really knowing who he was.

Lestat had finaly gotten him acustomed to wearing suits and ties, he also
wore his hair down like all the vampires he had met wanted him to. He
slowly went to the side of her bed and took her hand.

AkaneDo you know who I am? Its Ranma. I came back for you.

Akane straitened up at the name. Ranma? Is that really you? Her eyes
were magnafied many times by the unshed tears that hung there. She threw
her arms around him. Why did you leave? Shampoo and Ukyo said that I
drove you away. Oh, Ranma, I missed you so much. You are home for good
now, right? Everyone will be so happy that you came back.

Ranma shook his head. I did not come back for good With his vampire
sight he could see how delicate she was, so fresh and beautiful, how young.
I only came back for you.

Her happy expession, which had disappeared breifly, now became full
blown unadalterated joy. Akane I want to show you something. It is very
important that you trust me. You know that I would never hurt you, right,
please tell me that you believe that I would never hurt you. Look at me very
closely. What is different about me?

Ranma, I know that you of all people would never hurt me on purpose. You
lookdifferent. Why are you so much paler now? Why do you eyes glow?

Ranma opened his mouth. RanmaWhy do you have fangs?Akanes
mouth dropped open and her hand flew up to cover it. All the color drained
out of her face. Oh, RanmaWho did this to you? You mean youre a

Ranma lowered his head. Yes Akane, I am. I am a vampire. I chose this. I
was, however, given permission to give it to you, if you want to come with
me. Ranmas face crumpled. Do you know how hard it was for me to face
you with this?He gestured to himself. His hands moved over her face
Ive missed you so muchall Ive thought of since then was you. Do you
think you could? Live with me forever? There are so many things that I
want ot show you, and well have all the time in the world!

Akane looked at him. He was still Ranma. Still the same person. Even if he
wasnt human anymore. RanmaDo you love me?

He looked shocked. Do I love you? Does the moon go round the earth? Of
course, I love you! Why do you think I came back? Certainly not to see
Shampoo or Ukyo. They were my friends, but I dont want to spend the rest
of my immortal life with them. You are different. I cant see the span of all
the melinnia that I am capable of living now without you in them. But it is
your choice. If you come with me, you cannot see your family anymore.
Youll never see the sun again. But the older ones tend to adopt ones as
young as us as children. And will you be able to take a human life? Can you
sink your fangs into some poor mortals neck and drain them of their life,
meanwhile being able to see their life float threw your mind, with the power
of recolection? I will do what the one who gave me this did. I will come
back tomorrow night. I will meet you in the park under those cherry trees
you are so fond of, after the sun sets. Pehaps a little time wil help you to
decide. A sugestion? Get up and watch the sun rise, and make sure you
watch it set. If you choose to come with me, you will never see it again. I
will see you then. Good bye. And he was gone, like he was never even
there.

			*********************************

Akane did not go to sleep that night. She was afraid that if she did, she
would wake up and find all of this a dream. Ranma had looked so different!
In a suit and tie, and with his hair not tied back! He was so beautiful
though.
Before he had been hansom, but he now resembled something out of a
shoujo manga, with his eyes like saphires, and skin so perfect and pale. His
lips had just a touch of color to them. But could she really go with him?
Could she give up everything in her life just to be with him?

The last year floated before her. Had she really been alive without him to
argue with? When he left, she found that she just got up in the morning,
because she hoped that he would be sitting at the breakfast table waiting
with a smile. He had come back, but things were very different now. He
wasnt even human. He was immortal. And he offered it to her. He wanted
her with him. Forever in the most literal sense. Was she even herself without
him? No. She had become a shell. He said that it was the same way for him.
That he only thought of her. Only dreamt of her. He came back only for her.
How could she say no?

			**********************************

She made an excuse to her family as to why she was going out so late. She
knew that it had made no sense to anyone, but they nodded their okay and
she left. She had watched the sun rise and set that day, and commited every
detail of the color of the sky to memory. She had even decided to wear
something appropriate. A long flowing navy skirt and a white blouse with
long puffed sleaves, and an off the shoulder neck line. It had been over a
year and a half, and it was spring again. The cherry blossoms had just began
to blume. What a beautiful thing to be made immortal by the one she loved
more then her life under the bluming cherry trees.

She reached the spot he descibed. He was not there. It had been a dream.
She was going to turn and go home, her heart in her throat. She had wanted
it so badly she realy had began to believe it

If you have changed your mind, I understand.

Akane spun around. That was his voice. Ranma melted out of the shadows
and was followed by a tall, blonde man who had eyes like Ranmas, in that
their eyes had the same QUALITY about them.

Akane, I would like you to meet Lestat, the one who gave this to me.
Lestat came forward and bowed, and took her hand and kissed the two
middle nuckles.

I have heard a great deal about you. Even Ranmas desciption of you,
which I thought had been elaborated, was off. Obviouly his vision of you
had faded with time, for you are far more beautiful the I imagined. With
this Lestat released her hand and Akanes face colored profusely. Look at
her! I had forgotten how much more beautiful mortal women became when
their faces are hieghten with color.

Lestat, could you please stop that? Akane, in order for you to be reborn, I
must first take all the blood out of your body. Lestat will replace it with
his
because you will be stronger that way. Are you comfortable with this?

Akane glanced from Ranma to Lestat. She slowly nodded her head. Ranma
slowly took her in his arms, and place one hand on the side of her face . He
looked at her for a moment. Are you sure this is what you want, Akane?
Again she nodded. He lowered his face to her neck and kissed the vein that
ran strait to her heart.

A quick sharp pain went threw her as his fangs punctured her neck. This felt
so strange to feel her life pouring out of her one heart beat at a time. She
began to feel light, like Ranma was the only thing that held her to this
earth.
Her limbs began to feel cold and then went numb. She felt herself weighted
down, and now she was pressed to the ground. Her vision blurred and
began to fade. Now all feeling was gone.

Wait. She could feel something. The most delicious taste was in her mouth
and on her lips; she licked them to get more. Her head raised to find it and
her lips connected with something hard. Yes, this was it. She locked her lips
to it and began to drink. All feeling returned in a flash and she felt an
emotion well up in her that she only felt when she...well...touched herself.
It
overwhelmed her and exploded all over her nerves. It was removed. She
open her eyes. She saw Lestat lick his wrist and the wound closed. Ranma
took her hand and helped her up.

Akane, look at the stars Ranma said to her with a smile. Their light was
brighter now and it almost seemed that she could touch the life that might be
there. Everything now had the most exquisite quality, whether it was color
or texture or the smell of the flowers on the cherry trees above her.

Her life began now.
