The direct translation for Tenchi Muyo is "sky earth useless." I suppose 
it does sound worse than "No Need for Tenchi," but it does have some 
sort of meaning to it. The name Tenchi is not random or coincidental. 
The phrase "sky earth useless" means that ALL (sky + earth = all. Is 
there anything else?) is useless. Consider the situation Tenchi's in. I 
don't suppose anything could save him.
