Episode 5: Good-bye Pig Type? Anani's Secret Cure.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	Ryoga awoke the next morning to the smell of breakfast cooking.
	Peering out of the tent, he noticed cooking supplies on the main
	campfire, but no one tending to it. He walked out to examine the
	fire, and noticed that someone had pitched a third tent during
	the night.
Anani:	(Emerging from the new tent) Oh! Ryoga! Darling! Good morning!
Ryoga:	(Shocked) Wha... what are you doing here?
Anani:	I followed you two after packing some cooking supplies and
	things. I wanted to give you a surprise!
Ryoga:	Well, you certainly did that!
Tsurin:	(emerging from his tent) Is that you Ryoga? (seeing Anani) Anani!
	what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to stay home?!
Anani:	Yes, grandfather, but I wanted to help Ryoga train!
Tsurin:	(sighing) I know better than to argue with you. You always have
	been a stubborn one. Alright, but you need to realize that Ryoga
	need to focus and concentrate, so you need to help him do that!
Anani:	(gleefully) Yes!
	After breakfast, Tsurin and Ryoga continued training. Boulder
	upon boulder were sent down the path, and each one rolled over
	Ryoga before he could blast it.
Ryoga:	(thinking) I got to keep focused. I can do this!
Anani:	(in true cheerleader spirit) Come on Ryoga! You can do it! I
	know you can!
	Another boulder flies by rolling over Ryoga.
Anani:	(still confident) Keep going Ryoga, I believe in you!
	Another boulder comes by, this time Ryoga is able to break it
	with the Breaking Point Technique.
Anani:	(even more confident) That's the way! Do it for me, for us! Do
	it to be cured!
	Ryoga's mind suddenly became crystal clear and focused. He
	stuck the ground, and from somewhere upon the mountian an
	explosion ripped through the morning air. Ryoga looked up to
	see the boulder shatter into a thousand frangments as it flew
	into the sky.
Tsurin:	Well done. You have finally mastered the Idochikyo Bakuken, but
	your next is much more challenging.
Ryoga:	I'm ready for it! (thinking) Just you wait Ranma! Soon I will
	be able to pay you back for all you did to Akane and me!
Tsurin:	Then your next task is this....
	Tsurin concentrated and soon a cloud of inky blackness surrounded
	him. The cloud moved around, but as Ryoga followed it, Tsurin
	came from the opposite end and tapped Ryoga on the shoulder.
Ryoga:	(Jumping) How... how did you do that?!
Tsurin:	The cloud not only conseals you, but distracts your opponent
	from your main offensive. Tell me, did the clound surround you,
	or did it surround me?
Ryoga:	Now that I think about it, it actually surrounded me, but
	it moved to the left, and you attacked from the right.
Tsurin:	Close, but not quite. The technique actually creates more cloud
	around the focused target, your opponent. That's why it seems to
	move around. It moves closer to the target to conseal your own
	movement. And that is the legendary Kaze Kumo, or Shadow Cloud
	technique.
Ryoga:	This'll be a piece of cake!
Tsurin:	Will it now...? I think you'll find it more difficult than you
	think...
	Tsurin prepared the first part of the training, a circular path
	of burning coals with a wooden marker on one side. Ryoga looked
	curiously at the device, but soon learned its purpose.
Tsurin:	The first thing you must learn is how to move quick enough
	to keep the illusion from giving your attack away. To do this
	we will use this. If you can make a complete lap around this
	small ring of burning coals, barefoot, without getting burned
	you will have completed the first part of the exercise.
	Ryoga looked grimly at the red-hot coals he had to cross.
Ryoga:	(thinking) It's going to require quite a bit of speed to do
	this, but I must do it. If it means defeating Ranma and ridding
	myself of my pig form, I will!
	Ryoga took off his shoes and steped to the edge of the ring.
	The heat from the coals could be felt from where he stood, but
	he was determined. With an air of confidence he dashed onto the
	coals
Ryoga:	(yelling) OUCH! Ow, Hot hot hot hot HOT!
Anani:	Oh, dear! (getting some water) Here you go.
	Anani splashed Ryoga with water and he became P-chan once more,
	but the searing pain had stopped. Anani poured hot water on
	him and he attempted the task once more.
	Day and night for the next four days saw Ryoga attempting to
	perform the training exercise. On the fifth day, Ryoga completed
	a full lap without getting burned by the searing coals.
Ryoga:	(breathing hard) I... I did it!
Tsurin:	Yes, but your training has just begun. For your next task you
	must learn how to create the illusion of the cloud. You must
	focus your will into creating the shape, and making it move
	differently than your intentions. You must free your thoughts,
	but keep your intentions to yourself.
	The second part of the training was mentally as tiring for Ryoga
	as the physical portion. Five days passed before Ryoga conditioned
	his mind enough to produce the desired results. Ryoga surged
	with a new vow of confidence as he moved into the third and
	final step of combining the two exercises.
	Two days after his success. Ryoga and Tsurin began the last day
	of training with a sparring match. Tsurin and Ryoga began
	with just basic kicks and punches, but soon Ryoga began using
	the Bakusai Tenketsu and the Idochikyu Bakuken. Tsurin dodged the
	attacks, not using any techniques himself, but soon took harm
	from the improving Ryoga. With new found confidence Ryoga launched
	himself into his first successful usage of the Kage Kumo, and
	ended the sparring match between them.
Tsurin:	Excellent. You have mastered both techniques. You are truly
	worthy of carrying on my school of martial arts, and marrying
	my daughter.
Ryoga:	I haven't agreed to anything, yet!
Tsurin:	(dawning a wiry smile) Of course you haven't, my dear boy. As
	promised, I shall also tell you how to remove your curse.
Ryoga:	(thinking) Finally, I can get rid of my curse and defeat Ranma
	once and for all!
Tsurin:	There is a syrum, that when mixed with water from the Cursed
	Springs, any one will do, will cure the Curse of Jusenkyo. There
	are five main ingredients of the syrum. I will give you the
	recipie, and concauct the syrum for you once you wed Anani.
	Ryoga's body all of a sudden grew colder, yet soon warmed. He
	could not describe, nor exactly tell what he was feeling. The
	situation was dire. He could cure himself of his pig form and
	defeat Ranma to propose to Akane, or he could cure his form
	and marry Anani, who he already knew loved him. This feeling
	he had... could it be he loved her? She loved him even though
	he was a pig, and wanted to help him get rid of the form. The
	thoughts jumbled up Ryoga's mind.
Tsurin:	I see you have a decision to make. Take all the time you need,
	but we will keep an eye out for you.
Ryoga:	I have no time to think about this now! I must get to Tokyo and
	defeat Ranma Saotome once and for all!
Tsurin:	Suit yourself. We'll be waiting.
	The next morning Anani emerged from her tent to find Ryoga and
	his things gone. Her heart descended from the clouds it once
	floated high above, and came to a screeching and painful stop
	into her chest. Tsurin emerged from his tent now noticing the
	hurt Anani
Tsurin: So... he went.
	Anani nodded trying to hold back tears, but she couldn't. Tsurin
	comforted her.
Tsurin:	Oh, come now. So he went to Tokyo. He'll be back. After all, you
	love him, you've treated him with respect. He'll be back for you
	don't worry, my dear.
Anani:	(still crying a little) But... what if he doesn't, father? What
	will I do then? I'll never marry, I'll spend the rest of my life
	alone!
Tsurin:	(sighing) Yes, there is a chance that will happen, but there is
	little we could do about that.
	********************************************************
	Ucchan's Okonomiyaki was busy in the late afternoon with its
	regular customers including the newest addition to the list: Kipp
	Hoshiryuu. Kipp and Ukyo talked often about events that happened
	at school, Kipp also informed her of events that occurred at the
	Tendo Training Hall while he trained with Ranma there. Kipp and Ukyo
	also discussed problems each of them had, and each tried to help the
	other out with their problems. Their friendship was bonded in the
	truest of nature.
	On this peaceful day in Tokyo, however, something new was about to
	occur. There was something that just didn't seem right about a
	peaceful day for once. The doors to Ucchan's opened wide and an
	elderly gentleman with a long white beard entered with a young girl
	blue hair and light brown eyes. They wore hiking equipment and seemed
	weary after a long travel from somewhere.
Ukyo:	Welcome, what can I get you?
Tsurin:	Two medium Okonomiyaki with squid and shrimp, if you would please.
Ukyo:	Coming right up!
	Ukyo went in the back room to get some supplies for fixing the
	order.
Kipp:	You seem to have traveled a long way. May I ask where from?
Tsurin:	From the township of Yanin, we have come to Tokyo in search of a
	pupil of mine, who is also my future son-in-law.
	Kipp and Ukyo exchange worried glances.
Kipp:	Might I ask who it is? Perhaps we could help you find him.
Tsurin:	His name is...
Anani:	(quickly) RyogaHibiki, he'sareallystrongmartialartistandmygrandfather
	isgoingtotrainhimtocarryonhisschooland...
Tsurin:	You must excuse my granddaughter. She is a little excited after a
	week in his absence. His name is Ryoga Hibiki, do you know him.
Kipp:	Nope, never heard of him. Have you, Ukyo?
Ukyo:	Ryoga, yeah, but he's on a training trip in the mountains. I haven't
	seen him back, yet, but with his sense of direction, he could be
	anywhere, I suppose.
Tsurin:	Perhaps you know where he's staying?
Ukyo:	I don't know, you might ask Ranma or Akane, they might know.
Tsurin & Anani:	Ranma?!
Kipp:	Yeah, Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo. I could take you to see them
	if you'd like. I train with Ranma almost every day.
Tsurin: No that is quite alright, but I would warn your training partner of
	his arrival. Ryoga has learned quite a bit, and is seeking revenge
	upon him.
	Tsurin and Anani finish their Okonomiyaki and leave.
Kipp:	Hmm... that's odd. We forgot to get their names. Oh, well. Ukyo, who
	is Ryoga, anyhow?
Ukyo:	Oh, he's one of those people who can be a big pain in the fanny at
	times. He's fought with Ranma on just about anything he does to or
	with Akane directly or not. Ranma has won almost every fight, but
	Ryoga keeps persisting.
Kipp:	I see. I'd better try to persuede Ranma into a better training
	program, just to be safe.
