"... fly to the southern hemisphere,
where the sky is clear.
Oh, abandon the bleak December chill,
there's nothing like Christmas in Brazil,
weather's completely upside down
when you touch down."
- Michael Franks,
Lost in Jardin Botanico
(and about five months early...)
Well, as Mayhem bewailed, "but there's no SNOW!"
Yes, it's that time of the year to get down under, again.
Unfortunately, unlike my vacation last year, this year
it's "business", I'm going with some friends (and Mayhem
and Llewe), and it's winter in Australia.
Unfortunately, we're going to Darwin, and yesterday's low
was a balmy 23 deg.
In any case, I have somewhat neglected my duties as of late,
but I, with the rest of the "Centennial Team", will be back
in seven.
This, I am assured by M, will also entail the eleventh
part of his epic "Memories". I will no doubt try to recoup
with the last six chapters of "Switch". Confound it all,
why couldn't have Rain Man come a day sooner?
[DWAFF] Well, I am now ready to postpone stage one for at
least two weeks, if not the whole six months. I'll have to
see what's up after I come back.
In any case, I'd like to thank Henry Cobb, Keener, TimeRunner,
Jin, the Scriviner and the Zu for their support at this point.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Send in your suggestions or WAFFy fanfics
to the 1st Semi-Annual Fanfiction De-WAFFing Festival!
-----NOW EXTENDED TO 17 JULY 1998!!
Well, that's all, I guess.
