This fic, as well as 'Isolation' and 'A Wish Come True, part 4' have
recieved the most... um... I think preference is the right word, so
far. These are snippets from scenes. Not sure if he'll be fighting
Kuno yet, could be anybody.
Lunchtime came, accompanied by the usual fanfare. A purple haired
amazon here, a blind one there. Koenma sat at a table with two of the
girls from his class, Yuka and Sayuri were their names, he discovered.
They both seemed nice enough, and were willing to be friends. He idly
doodled a picture of one of the more impressive fighters as he watched
the lunchtime battle. "Go to Nerima, they said. No martial artists
there, they said. I think I've been tricked." He sighed as he realized
that he wouldn't be able to move again for a few months. Unless of
course, his paintings started selling. <Oh well, at least I get to go
to school for free.> He smirked as he remembered the deal he had struck
with the principal.
Koenma pointed one hand at the Kendoist, Kuno was his name. He raised
his fingers so that they were pointing straight up. "FIRE BALL!" He
shouted. Six balls of multi-colored flame burst from his hand.
In the audience most of the students simply watched in awe, while Ranma
could be heard to remark. "Hey look, he can do ki-blasts too!"
Kuno looked surprised for only a moment before recovering himself.
"So, the foul sorcerer has decided to use his magics in a vain attempt
to defeat me. It shall not work, the Blue Thunder will not be
defeated!" Using his bokken, Kuno batted the six balls of flame away
from himself and rushed Koenma. A single slash sent Koenma flying into
the school wall. Lying in the rubble, he reached into his shirt sleeve
and pulled out a long paper tube, he glared at it for a moment before
tossing it away. After which, he immedeatly lapsed into
unconsciousness.
Akane walked over towards him, stopping to pick up the tube on the
ground. She stared at the english words on it for a moment before they
began to make sense. "Hmm, 'Roman Candle'..."
