Greetings all,
Can anyone help me? Basically, my problem is I'm having a
difficult time placing my Ranma fics into Ranam 1/2 continuity because
I'm having difficult in determine how much time elapses between story
arcs and within a story arc itself...
Has one figured this out?
As for how much time elapses between story arcs
is anyone's guess.
For the elapsed time within a particular story arc
I just count the number of nights that occur
within the story. That and any text denoting the
passage of time.
For example, how much time passed between the "martial arts
cheerleading" story arc and the introduction of "Nodoka Saotome? and
how long (Ranma 1/2 timewise) did the "martial arts cheerleading"
story arc take?
This particular story arc took place in five days
and four nights. The first day Akane and the
volleyball team defeated by Mariko's interference.
Also, Mariko falling in love with Kuno and Mariko
finding out his feelings for onna-Ranma. First night
not shown.
Second day, Ranma's first appearnce in a cheerleading
costume and the throwing of a challenge between Ranma
and Mariko. Second night has Ranma practicing with
batons in the Dojo. And Akane talking with Ranma
about the challenge.
Third day has onna-Ranma putting on a kawaii-attack
on Kuno to get him to go on a date together. The
date occurs that night and has Akane _trying_ to
practice the batons in the dojo.
The fourth day is the formal kendo match between
Furinkan and Mariko's school. Mariko and Ranma
engage in combat cheerleading as well.
Fourth night is not shown and the fifth day is
just one panel showing Ranma turned to stone
after overhearing what the other Furinkan students
talking about what happened at the match the
day before.
Yes, I know that Ranma 1/2 was written over a nine year period and yet
no one moved onto the next school year... (that's part of the
problem)...
