Whether it be the properties of the curse, the power of the ki 
techniques, a question of speed, strength, endurance, etc, the good 
fanfic writer should go no further than what is directly represented in 
the manga, and, when there is no material to go by, the writer then must 
strive to conform as closely as possible to the 'spirit' of the manga -- 
that is, he must take what is in the material in the SIMPLEST, MOST 
OBVIOUS LIGHT POSSIBLE, and make a new continuity, which must not only 
not disagree with canon, but must exist as the simplest, most obvious 
and logical extension of the same.
