Hmmm...You know I never really wanted to write a SI fic until now. I don't
speak much Japanese so I figured it would go downhill from there. I won't
because it's not a story I'm interested in pursuing, but it has made me
realize some things.
1) I have never seen Guy write a review worth looking at twice. Too much
negativity does not do a body good. I don't gain anything important as a
writer from him in his reviews.
2) He has an extremely narrow viewpoint of how fanfics should go. He hates
SI and alternate universe fics. He communicated that loud and clear. Guy
also appears to be under the impression that characters will never grow up.
3) He appears to have the ability to enter Rumiko Takahashi's head (or at
least thinks so). His knowledge of all things Ranma make him a natural for
the title of High Lord of Ranma 1/2. The last sentence was dripping heavily
into sarcasm.
4) I have NEVER seen him write a fanfic story. Let me tell you something
Guy, I learn more by examples than by theortical lectures. Do you have a
story for all of us children to see? I would be more eager to take your
freely given advice if you did.
5)Maybe a review from Guy dissing a fanfic isn't such a bad thing. You
know, maybe it's a mark of pride, proving that the story is worth reading.
Now that I think about it, all one needs to see is his email address.
Supergenius? Isn't that what Wiley Coyote calls himself before he's pounded
into the dirt a zillion times in a Road Runner cartoon? I suspect I'm
talking to a brick wall so I'll stop with my observations now.
Just one last thought: Those who can do, those who can't bitch. Care to
guess which catergory I've placed Guy in. I'm not hypocritical and realize
that I am bitching. I'm just not bitching about any fanfics.
I will now make my apologies to Tybalt and all the wonderful adminstrators
here. If I get zapped because of these comments, I'll accept it
gracefully. I'll think the adminstrators are wrong, but I'll accept it
gracefully.
The anger is released from my system now. :-)
