Akane was mad *before* Ranma arrived, so when he did, she vented her
frustration on him. At least, that was how I interpreted the opening
part.

On the whole this strikes me as a dull reality. Ranma doesn't make dumb
mistakes and is clearly better than any opponent that the environment
offers. One of the less interesting bet entries.

Well, yes. If it becomes a case of Ranma walks over everyone else like a
bad SI character, then you'd be right. However, there are other
possibilities here. Ranma never was the socially knowledgable type, and
now that he's been exposed to a different culture almost all of his life,
will he be able to relate to everyone else? It's not as easy to write in
this vein, but if he pulls it off, the rewards can be big.

I could easily see this as a "Love wins over all other matters" fic, an SF
fic, or a sad fic.

The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
