I was searching the web when I found a sight for something called
GRIT. Interested, I looked into it and found that someone had taken the
time to create a whole world. GRIT, for those who haven't found out
about it, is an acronym for Gratuitious Ranma 1/2 Insertion Thread. It
looked neat, but I wasn't ready to join up, not to mention that it
seemed to be a huge story unto itself. I couldn't hope to join up with
THAT.
Okay, maybe I was just intimidated. Maybe it was the fact that
I would've joined in after all the interesting stuff that kept me from
joining. In any case, I just couldn't join. But an idea hit me and I
kept it on the backburners for a long time.
Until now.
I've been thinking for quite some time on the side (so, about
3-4 seconds per every three days), what could I do that could be like
that?
Obviously GRIT had already done a mass Ranma self-insertion.
What other world could handle so many authors leaping into it?
Not El Hazard, they had things laid down carefully. Maybe one
or two people could leap in without totally screwing everything up.
Not Tenchii Muyo! Again, because everything carefully laid down.
You could potentially get about ten people in without messing everything
up.
Not Neon Genesis Evangelion, that was being done in a
round-robin by A-kun (me!), ?????, Ash(hey, Ash, drop me a line!), and a
few others(?).
The only other places where things AREN'T so carefully laid out
are 1) Sailor Moon, 2)Iczel 1 (Iczel 3 and Iczelion), 3) Power Rangers
and 4) Bubble Gum Crisis.
But in BGC, there weren't all that many great big events for
everyone to do.
In the Iczelion time line, you needed way mega-powers to be good
enough to fight anything. And that's no fun for anyone.
Sailor Moon and Power Rangers on the other hand.....

This is the idea:
It's just shortly after the events of Sailor Moon R. For
those who don't want it completely spoiled, Renie (Chibi-Usa) has gone
home and the Nega-Twit Family has been beaten. The scouts are about
fifteen by this time and have their third level powers.
It's also just after the Power Rangers have just faced Lord
Zedd's Z-Putties for the first time and recovered their silly zords.
However, a new force of enemies is coming to Earth.
To be original, the army and police CAN help fight, but it's
obvious that they need some major help.
That's where WE jump in.
Tossed into the world where both Power Rangers and Sailor Moon
have crossed, we either gained hidden natural powers, we find some silly
hidden Power Coin or we're some forgotten Sailor Senshi.
Thus, any characters who come in after we jump in we can screw
around with (Personality and history wise, you hentai!).

Okay, since someone is obviously going to join without knowing
the Sailor Senshi's Japanese names, and there are probably more than a
few people on the FFML who have never seen the Power Rangers, I'm going
to give a quick guide from what I remember. Yeah, it's been a while,
okay?

Limits:
Okay, this isn't going to go well if some power mad psycho goes
around defeating all the monsters and working him/herself into a god.
So, I've thought up the limits to everyone's powers.
No "Oh, of COURSE I can stop that asteroid-sized plasma bolt"
without it being a sarcastic remark.
No "Oh, she's dead? Not to worry. There. She's alive.",
unless it's from Sailor Moon or Sailor Saturn.
No "VOLCANO SUMMONING POWER!!" without it being a joke.
No Guyvers or Guyver-Equivalents. (if you know what it is)
No "Queen Serenity has chosen ME, not you Usagi(/Serena/Bunny),
to use the Guinzuishou (silver crystal, etc.)." without it being a sick
joke.
None of the senshi are to drool over ANYONE unless it's for
comical or realistic reasons. You may begin a romance with them, but
remember that other people will be in your way.
No one is to become 'Ultra-Handsome' or 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'.
You can fix your looks, but in exchange, you HAVE to take a few more
restrictions. Like switching fat to muscle (and not dying in the
process) calls for constant charlie-horses (I.e. painful muscle spasms.
Medical Warning: They come from overexertion of a set of muscles.)
After all, you haven't USED your new muscles ever before this. Hehehe,
sadistic, ain't I?
If you become a Sailor Senshi, you CANNOT be more powerful that
Sailor Moon, Sailor Pluto or Sailor Saturn. If you don't know who
Sailor Pluto or Sailor Saturn are, then you should use Sailor Moon as a
guide.
If you are a Power Ranger, you can have your own zord, but you have to
do something ridiculous to summon it. It shouldn't be the equal to the
Megazord (whatever stage) unless you're willing to do something REALLY
embarrassing or weird like having your butt showing through your costume
(all the time) and having to do the Macrena while sucking milk shakes
through your nose.
If your powers are a natural version of one of the senshi's
powers, Power Rangers, X-men, Superman, Flash, Aquaman, etc., you should
have some major weakness like kryptonite (it has to be semi-common) for
Superman's powers or extreme claustraphobia for Storm's powers.
The openings in powers:
The Power Rangers have been beaten severely (so, what's new?),
so there are openings in the ranks. Primarily Red, Black and Blue (yes,
a bad joke, but hey, cut me some slack).
The Power Coin Colors not yet accessed: Orange, Grey, Purple,
White, Plaid and Brown. If you can think of another color that's not
used, go right ahead and use it, but TRY not to make any silly colors
like 'Cricket Green' or 'Off-White Beige' okay?
Sailor Venus tripped in some butter and twisted her ankle badly,
so she's going to be out of the action for a little while.
Possible Lesser Sailor Powers: Sailor Earth (try not be
stereo-typical, okay? Try to keep the earthquakes, volcanoes and
crevasses to a minimum), Sailor Atlantis, Sailor Angel, Sailor
Evangelion, Sailor Devil Hunter, Sailor Io, Sailor Daedalus, Sailor
Prometheus, Sailor Vulcan, Sailor Aries, Sailor Aphrodite. Not to
mention my personal Senshi: Overdrive, Max-Out, Limit-Breaker, Override,
and Crash.
Other Possibilities for Sailor Powers (I'm the creator of this
source of power, so use it if you think you want it): Knights of
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and
Pluto. Note that the Knight Powers are more physical rather than the
more magical counter-parts in the Senshi, so expect greater strength,
but don't expect things like the 'Jupiter Thunder Crash' or 'Supreme
Thunder' in your first stage, okay?

(or misc. powers), contact me with specifications to find out if it's
going to overpower the universe.
The military and police have been taking poundings from this new
force, so fresh recruits will be given the heavy artillery (not
literally, silly).
Fun:
This is the primary goal of this little (or not so little)
thread. Having fun. So, try not to have a lot of angst ridden parts in
your stories. Okay, maybe at the beginning, it's all right, after all,
I'm trying to give you something to do once you get there. It's okay to
be serious, but try to lighten the mood every so often (Example: The
battle wasn't going well for the heroes. Suddenly, Mamoru clutched his
stomach and a loud fart was audible across the entire battle field.
Everyone and everything stopped and looked at him. He blushed deeply.
A nearby monster accidentally inhaled some of the fumes and promptly
faded (as in dissolved).).
I haven't cut your abilities to be mean, I've cut them to force
you to be more creative. With godly abilities, what fun is it?
