I have nothing against negative criticism. But I can understand quite
well why people dislike the Critic Under the Bridge. He seems incapable
of stating his opinions as *opinions* rather than gospel truth. He's
constantly starting RAAF-style character debates on the FFML. He seems
to expect newbies to all write at the level of the older, established
writers. Basically, he's unwilling to observe the most basic social
courtesies on a forum that is, for the most part, a friendly and civil
gathering.
Before Tybalt bans this I'm going to sneak in my two cents. Negative criticism is fine.
But GUBster's remarks were of the "no fanfic of this kind (e.g. self-insertion) is worth
reading so if this fanfic is self-insert or I just think it is (e.g.user has same name as
pre-existing character) I won't bother reading it and will say it stinks without reading
it first. If you read a fanfic someone's written and then say "it stinks"and give a few
pointers, fine. Also, not everyone who writes fanfiction has seen that anime's entire
series, so things that may seem OOC may in fact be IEC (in earlier character).
