Author's Notes:
Well, here it is. My first Sailor Moon fanfiction. Actually, it's my first
fanfiction for any series. Heh. It's a self-insertion, sorta. I created the
character Shizen for the Sailor Moon universe, but possibilities are
endless. It's a self-insertion in the sense that Shizen is my on-line
counterpart.
All forms of C&C are welcome, but keep in mind, I'll only respond to the
good ones :) You can reach me at lonewolf48@mailexcite.com
So, without further ado, I bring you:

otherwise.

Darkness.
The power was out, and has been out for awhile now. The streets of
Tokyo were empty. Most everyone was either in bed, or looking for
alternative sources of light. All, but one.
A dark figured remained, standing on a street corner. Trench coat and hat
thoroughly saturated with water. Water from the rain. A massive storm was
reeking havoc on the city: pelting rains, viscous winds, and an occasional
lightning strike.
A bright flash, followed shortly by a thunderous boom, seemed to attract the
attention of the figure, who glanced up at the sky.
A broad smile crossed its face, then it merely vanished.
***
Rei was tossing and turning in bed, when she snapped awake during a
particularly loud explosion. She was panting and covered in sweat at the
disturbing dream she just had.
She looked around in the dark, slowly adjusting to it, and reached for the
half empty glass on her nightstand. After taking a sip, she got out of bed
and headed to her window. The storm appeared to be losing it's intensity,
and Rei breathed a sigh of relief.
'Thunder is Makoto's specialty,' she thought, and then smirked before
heading back to bed. 'I'll have to call a meeting tomorrow,' was her last
intelligible thought before slipping back into unconsciousness.
***
"Good morning Usagi!" came Luna's cheerful voice, which was very annoying
at 10:00 in the morning.
"Awww, Lunaaaa! Waddya go and wake me up for? It's Saturday! And I was
having another dream about Tuxedo Kamen!" Usagi replied groggily, yet still
able to hit the higher decibels.
"Rei wants us at the temple, and I don't want to be late. You KNOW how mad
she gets."
Usagi had already got herself out of bed, and began dressing. "What for?
Is something wrong?"
"She simply said it was important and she would explain when we all got
there." Luna became a lot more serious now, and Usagi didn't like it.
'Something bad always seems to happen when she sounds like that,' Usagi
thought, hoping for just one quiet day every now and then. Usagi finished
dressing, and her and Luna went downstairs.
"Do we have time for breakfast?" Usagi asked, and caught herself almost
drooling.
Luna just shook her head. "Sorry, just grab something. We have to go now."
Usagi grumbled, and, after a hesitant move, grabbed an apple.
Luna looked shocked and thought to herself, 'Woa, something must be wrong,
that's the first fruit I've seen Usagi eat!.' And at that point, Usagi put
the apple back and lunged for the donuts she didn't see earlier. 'Spoke to
soon.' thought Luna. Then they both left Usagi's house and headed toward
Cherry Hill Temple.
They soon arrived to find that they weren't the last. Minako and Artemis still
haven't shown up.
"Well Usagi, I must commend you. You aren't late for once." Makoto said
cheerily.
"Just another sign of impending doom." Rei added casually.
Usagi gave Rei a venomous glare, to which Rei returned. Seeing trouble, Ami
quickly broke the mood, to point out Minako and Artemis have arrived.
"Konnichiwa, Mina!" Minako said.
"Ohayo!" They all responded cheerfully.
Artemis facefaulted for a moment, and asked, "Well, now that were all
here, mind telling us what for?" Luna merely nodded, and they all
looked at Rei. Startled by all the sudden attention, Rei cleared her
throat, and began to explain.
"You all remember that storm last night?" They all nodded. "Well, it wasn't
natural." Everyone stared at her in confusion.
"The Negaverse?" Asked Usagi.
Luna and Artemis both shook their heads. "No, we would have sensed them."
"As would I." Rei added, and continued, "I don't know who or what caused the
storm. All I could tell is that it wasn't a natural occurrence. But that's
not all. I also had a vision, of something important arriving. Something
disturbing." Rei paused, unable to explain further. They all just stared,
before Minako spoke up.
"A new enemy?" she asked.
"Perhaps, and if so, we could be in trouble." Rei sighed and looked at
everyone. "I suggest we keep our eyes and ears open. I know I don't want to
be caught off guard." Rei smiled, and they all agreed.
"So all we do is wait?" Usagi then asked.
"I guess so." Rei said.
"Aww man! I hate waiting!" Usagi whined.
"Oh, quit complaining! Grow up Usagi!" Rei shot back. And once again, they
began to argue, and the other three scouts just laughed.

"Tokyo station number 3!" The electronic voice sounded over the speakers,
and the train pulled into the station. The flight wasn't to bad, but the
train ride from the airport was a miniature hell.
'At last!,' thought Shizen, 'Tokyo!' It had been only a dream to visit
Japan, and fortunately this dream came true. Of course, their wasn't much
that could stop him these days. Not after that amazing discovery years past.
He picked up what little luggage he had, and stepped off the train. People
were bustling about, running this way and that, doing what people do in a
train station. Shizen sucked in a breath of Tokyo air, and nearly choked.
'Woah, you're not in Canada anymore. This might take some time to get used
to.' He thought, and then chuckled.
Walking toward the exit, he stopped at a newsstand and purchased a paper.
Merely for the look, as he couldn't read Kanji, yet, and to see how
well his Japanese has come along. He then resumed his course toward the
doors, and walked out onto the sidewalk.
***
Makoto and Usagi were walking down one of Tokyo's streets, having left the
Temple awhile ago.
"Oohh! That Rei!" Usagi grumbled.
"Ah, don't worry about her Usagi. You know she doesn't really mean all
that." Makoto said, smiling.
"But she gets so cruel!" Usagi whined.
"I know...Hey! Let's stop at the arcade! I think Andrew's working today!"
Usagi perked up immediately. "Yea! What a great idea! Let's get some
chocolate sundaes too!"
Makoto chuckled, and they both headed toward the arcade.
During their almost half-sprint, Makoto suddenly eyed a tall man in a gray/tan
suit, walking on the other side of the road. She slowed, and then stopped,
causing Usagi to bump into her, and they both nearly fell.
"Ow! Baka! Hey, waddya stop for?" Usagi asked, rubbing her head.
Still keeping her eyes on him, Makoto responded, "That man. Does he look odd
to you?"
"What man?"
"Over there, next to the clothing store." Makoto pointed him out.
"Oh, him? With the newspaper? Probably a tourist. Now let's go!" Usagi
said, hoping Makoto wouldn't go into a 'He looks like my old boyfriend'
thing.
"Yea, you're probably right. OK, let's go!" Makoto said, and they both dashed
off again.
***
'Hmmm, sin37 equals...' Ami thought. She had returned home after the
meeting and went back to work on her studies.
'No, that can't be right.' And she quickly erased her answer. 'Oh, wait a
sec. This isn't a right angle triangle. Therefore...' She pulled out her
pocket computer, and began punching in a few numbers.
'Ah, there we go!' Ami smiled in triumph. She reached for the glass of coke
on her desk, and sat back while drinking. She began to wonder about what Rei
had said. She already knew the storm last night was a freak occurrence,
her computer's weather program told her that.
'Too bad it can't tell me what caused it.' She thought. She then put her
glass down and went back to work.
***
That night there was no storm, but Rei was laying awake. Something felt out
of place, and she couldn't sleep.
'Sometimes I wish I could just shut out these powers.' She thought, but knew
that could never happen. So many times have these powers saved her and the
scouts.
She decided to try something her grandpa told her. She began to count sheep.
***
High above the streets, a figure hovered.
'Well Dionysus. I tracked you here. So where are you?' He thought.
"Behind you!" A voice suddenly said.
The figure spun around quickly, facing his opponent.
"You never fail to surprise me, do you?"
"Not when it always gives me the upper hand."
"Funny, we seem to be on equal terms now."
Dionysus chuckled. "Perhaps." Was his only reply.
"Look, I'm being paid a lot of money to take you out. How about you make it
easy, and I'll buy you a descent funeral?"
"Hah! Nothing is easy!" Dionysus replied smiling.
"Not when it involves you, anyway."
"Well, what are you waiting for? A written invitation?" The impatient
Dionysus said, while summoning a ball of energy in his right hand.
The other figure closed his eyes, and his suit dissipated into a dark gray
bodysuit, and black body armor. He then opened his eyes, and pulled out his
weapon, a small remodified laser rifle.
Dionysus smiled wickedly and hurled the ball of energy at the other figure.
***
Luna snapped awake. Sensing danger, she jumped onto Usagi's chest and
started to wake her. Usagi just grumbled and rolled over, causing Luna to
fall to the floor.
"Oof! Usagi, you ditz!" Luna grumbled and got back up. She jumped back onto
the bed and again tried to wake Usagi.
"Awww, Luna! What is it??"
"I sense danger! Get up now and call the scouts!" Luna quickly said.
"Just five more minutes..."
"NOW!"
"OK! OK!" Usagi moaned and got up. Rubbing her eyes, she looked at the
clock. "4:00 in the morning?! For.."
"Ahem." Luna cut her off. "Just transform."
"Right. Moon! Prism! POWER!" Usagi shouted, and was transformed into Sailor
Moon. She then grabbed her communicator and contacted first Ami, then Makoto,
then Minako, and finally Rei.
In about ten minutes, all five scouts, and the two cats were running down
the streets of Tokyo towards the source of the trouble.
***
SMASH!
That last hit sent the armored figure flying into a building.
"You're getting slow." Dionysus chuckled.
The figure grunted, "I'm still getting used to the air here."
"Oh? I thought you were capable of adapting to changing climates?"
"I am, but some environments take a little time." He weakly smiled, then got
up. 'Damn! Armor reduced to 50% strength!' He thought, after making a quick
mental systems check.
"Oh, are we LOSING?" Dionysus laughed. "Forgot I could read minds, did you?"
Just then, Dionysus was struck by a ball of fire, and flew back almost 20
feet. He quickly dissipated the fire and got up, stunned by the sudden
attack. Focusing his attention on the source, his jaw nearly dropped.
Standing there were 5 short skirted females, with their hands on their hips.
The middle one spoke first.
"I am Sailor Moon! The champion of justice! In the name of the moon, I will
punish you!"
'Cute.' Dionysus thought. "Well, Moon, who might your friends be?"
"I am Sailor Mars!"
"I am Sailor Mercury!"
"I am Sailor Venus!"
"I am Sailor Jupiter!"
"We right wrongs and triumph over evil! And that means you!" They all
chorused together.
Dionysus laughed. "Did you make that up yourself? Or was it on a poorly
dubbed anime?"
Meanwhile, the armored figure recharged his weapon and took aim at
Dionysus.
Sensing movement, Dionysus glanced over to see his enemy preparing
to fire. 'Hmm, 6 to 1 odds. Not good.' He thought.
"I'd love to stay and chat folks, but even I couldn't stand killing you
all." With that, he quickly vanished.
"Why that egotistical, know-it-all...." Sailor Moon grumbled. "And don't
come back, either!"
The other four just dropped their heads.
"Hey! What about him?" Moon said aloud, pointing to the other figure. He had
fallen to one knee, and was panting heavily. All five rushed over to see if
he was OK.
'Damn! Damn! Damn!' He thought. 'I must be getting slow to be seen by
others.' Of course, after a quick check, he realized that severe damage was
taken to his power supply, and he couldn't turn invisible.
Ami pulled out her computer and began scanning the figure, when a look of
surprise crossed her face.
Seeing this, Minako asked, "What's wrong Mercury? Is he OK?"
"I don't know...My computer says he's weak, but..." She trailed off.
"But what?" Makoto asked.
"But she isn't reading any human life signs." The figure said softly. They
all gaped in astonishment.
"Then he's a youma! We attacked the wrong person!" Sailor Moon said.
"No." Replied Rei. "I'm not sensing any evil from him."
"And he appears...well...mechanical." Ami added. They were all very
confused, especially Sailor Moon.
"I believe the word you require is 'cybernetic'" The figure said. Then,
standing up, he smiled at them, enjoying the confusion he's causing. "So.
How do I repay you for saving me?"
"You can start by explaining to us who you are, and why your in Tokyo."
Sailor Moon said sternly, trying to gain some footing on the situation.
"Fair enough. My name is Shizen. I'm a cyborg mercenary hunting a
particularly nasty assassin, who decided to run to Tokyo. How's that?"
Shizen smiled. The girls all stared at him blankly, except for Mercury, who
was still focusing on her computer. "Don't worry, it isn't broken." He said
to her, "I am regaining my strength."
She looked at him, almost blushing, "But so fast...?" She asked.
Shizen nodded.
Just then, the sounds of sirens filled the air, and the 5 scouts turned to
see rapidly approaching police cars. But when they turned back to Shizen, he
had vanished.
"Damn!" Rei exclaimed.
"We better get going, while we still can." Makoto said, and they all took off
down an alley.
***
The next day, all five were again at the temple for another meeting, however
this time Usagi was late. Rei was, of course angry, but they had more
important things to deal with.
"So, a new hero in town, huh?" Makoto said.
"And enemy." Ami added. The other three nodded.
"Well, that Shizen character better not interfere with me! This is MY city
to defend!" Usagi said angrily. Large sweatdrops formed on the others'
heads.
"Don't worry Usagi, He's just here for the assassin, remember? Besides,
you'll still have Tuxedo Kamen." Minako said in a sing-song voice.
"Ooooh! Tuxedo Kamen...." Usagi began to space out.
"Oh Usagi." Rei said simply.
End.
Well, that's it for Part 1. I know it seemed rather long at the start, and I
probably should have named Shizen as the figure sooner than I did, but I
really couldn't find a descent opportunity. Overall I think it turned out
ok. Remember, all C&C can be sent to lonewolf48@mailexcite.com
I want to thank Megane 6.7 whose work inspired me to restart this project,

Shizen was laying awake in bed while going over notes on Dionysus. He was
trying to find hints on where he might be, what his next move would be, but
he couldn't think very well, as of late.
He received a transmission from his Employer awhile ago, stating that
an emergency meeting was going to be held. All personnel were to
finish their work immediately and regroup in the Rockies.
'Damn it all to hell!' He thought, tossing the paper he was reading, down.
'Maybe I can find a bar to relax in.' And with that he got up, grabbed his
coat, and headed out the door.
***
The next morning, a typical Monday, Usagi was late for school. Given the
fact that she wasn't very late, maybe by five minutes, Ms. Haruna decided
to let it slide, and continued with her lesson.
At lunch, all five girls: Usagi, Ami, Minako, Makoto, and Rei, were sitting
together talking.
"So Usagi, did ya get another detention today?" Asked Rei, hoping the
answer was 'yes' so she could fight with Usagi again.
"Nope, Miss H. let it go" She replied simply, smiling inwardly because she
knew why Rei asked.
It was quiet for a few seconds before Makoto chimed in, "So, any ideas who the
new guys are?"
"You mean from last night?" Usagi asked. Makoto nodded.
"If you remember, Shizen is a mercenary after the assassin." Ami replied.
"We know that. But why'd they come here, and from where?" Said Minako.
They all just shrugged. Ami continued, "Well, I'd imagine Shizen is new
here, his Japanese could use some work." She smiled slightly. "He also
mentioned he was a cyborg. That limits where he could be from to Europe
and North America, the only countries that could achieve cyber
technologies, given the time."
"Cyber what?" Usagi asked.
"Cyber Technology. I heard the US was close to achieving it. It's the
ability to meld biological compounds, for example, humans, with
electronics. I guess they achieved it." Ami answered. Usagi just went
back to eating.
"That leaves the assassin." Rei said, and they all nodded. "Any ideas?"
"He definitely had techniques used by the Negaforce, but we destroyed them."
Makoto suggested.
"Maybe a stray?" Minako added.
"Or a rogue. Remember, Shizen said he had been chasing him for awhile, and
we only recently put an end to the Negaverse." Ami replied.
"Makes sense." Rei said, and they all agreed.
Before they could continue, the class bell rang, and they all headed toward
the school. Before they went their separate ways, they reminded Usagi to be
at Cherry Hill after school. Of course there was an exchange of whining and
arguments, but they ended quickly when they each went to their individual
classes.
***
Groaning, Shizen leaned over to look at his clock, before realizing he
could simply access his retinal one.
"Christ! One o'clock! I better get that report in!" He muttered, and
got up, getting dizzy as he moved a little to fast. Ignoring it, he
walked over to the table, where his laptop sat, and booted-up. He
pulled a fiber-optic cable from the side of the small computer, and
plugged it into a node behind his ear. The display went blank, as all
data was transmitted directly to his brain.
'Log on. Access MercNet. Secure line. Deposit Report 051294.' He
thought. The computer made a 'beep' of acknowledgment, and began
processing his commands. Shizen logged off and headed toward the
refrigerator. He grabbed a glass from the cupboard next to it, and
grabbed the bottle of orange juice from the fridge. As he began to pour
juice into his glass, a ball of energy smashed through his window,
incinerating the wall opposite.
"Dammit Dionysus! Can't I have a drink first?" He said without stopping
filling his glass until it was full. Before he could take a sip, the glass
was destroyed by another blast. At that point Shizen realized Dionysus
wasn't fooling around, but more importantly, he realized this wasn't like
him at all.
With a quick thought, Shizen returned to cyborg form, dropped to a
crouch, and began scanning the area where the shots came from. What
registered came as a complete shock, it was a TK-200 stealth chopper,
preparing to fire again!
'The hell?' He thought, while trying to make contact to the operator of the
vehicle.
'Unit 84, your mission has been terminated, as has your usefulness. Priority
One: capture Unit 84 and destroy.' An automated voice responded. Followed by
another shot from the vehicle.
With a quick roll, Shizen dodged the blast, and fired a volley of his own,
destroying the rear propeller, knowing it wasn't enough to stop the vehicle,
but hoped it was enough to cause it to fall back. A fourth shot answered his
question, and he again dodged, fired, and this time destroyed the forward
propeller.
The vehicle suddenly plunged into an uncontrolled spin, before vanishing.
'At least the pedestrian safety systems were engaged.' Of course, he had
nothing to worry about, since the streets were cleared at the first signs of
an explosion.
Looking around, Shizen realized he needed a new apartment. Three quarters of
this one had been destroyed be the battle. Getting up, Shizen quickly
gathered his things, what was left of them, and headed out the hole in the
wall.
'No need to be asked questions. Although I have some of my own.' He thought,
while flying down to an alley, before changing back into his human form.
'Why was a mercenary attack chopper after me?' He wondered. 'Guess
I'll need to find a place to use this.' He continued, while hefting the
small laptop, before heading into the street.
***
At the Cherry Hill Temple, 4 girls were talking, while waiting for the fifth
to arrive.
"I thought Usagi said she didn't have a detention?" Makoto asked.
"She did, but that ditz couldn't be on time if she left early." Rei
remarked, adding, "Speaking of whom," while motioning toward the entrance.
Usagi was walking up, bag behind her head, panting heavily.
"Miss *huff* H. decided *pant* to keep me after *puff* after all" She said
between breaths. "I ran as fast as I could."
"Well, you didn't miss much." Said Ami, "We were just talking about the
explosion at the Embassy Hotel."
"What explosion?" Asked Usagi.
"You're such a ditz, Usagi! It's all over the news!" Proclaimed Rei.
"Soooooorrryyyyy! I didn't have time to watch the news, little miss
righteous!" Usagi shot back.
"Hmph." Was all Rei replied.
"Ahem." Broke in Ami, "Now for the matter at hand. Luna, has Central Command
said anything about our newcomers?"
"They did a background check on the Shizen guy, but it cam up blank."
"Yeah, it's like he doesn't exist." Concurred Artemis.
"Hmm, then he either lied, or maybe..." Ami wondered aloud.
"Maybe what, Ami?" Makoto inquired.
"Maybe he's not such a good guy after all." Ami said softly.
"Possibly." Thought Luna.
It became rather quiet, before they heard someone clear their throat behind
them. Immediately startled, they all stiffened.
"Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help."
They all turned and Minako asked, "Yes?"
"I was looking for a place I could use this." He said, lifting up his
laptop. "Preferably someplace quiet."
"The library?" Rei retorted, somewhat angered by the sudden surprise.
He smiled at her, and said, "Yes, that would be nice, but I'm afraid I'm new
here, and I can't seem to find one."
At that, Makoto suddenly recognized him and blurted out, "Hey Usagi! It's the
tourist guy we saw the other day!" Then she shut-up, realizing she said that
a little too loud.
He smiled again, and nodded, "Yes, I guess I am a tourist. And you are?"
Makoto blushed, "Sorry, didn't mean to be so rude. My name's Makoto."
"Pleasure to meet you. And I'm assuming the blond next to you is Usagi?"
"That's me!" Usagi smiled, while the others formed large sweatdrops on
their heads. "And that's Rei, Ami, and Minako."
He nodded in all their directions, and said, "Hello. And my name is Jack. So,
now that the introductions are over, can one of you give me directions to
the library?"
Ami nodded, "Yes, just follow this road south, until you reach Tekashi, then
turn right. Follow it a few blocks west, until you see a large white
building."
"Thanks." Jack bowed, turned, and headed back down the steps. "Bye." He said
over his shoulder.
"Bye!" They chorused back. Just then, the two cats jumped out from behind
the bushes.
"Phew! That guy certainly gave me a start!" Sighed Artemis.
Luna nodded.
"So where were we?" Asked Makoto.
"I think we were just wrapping up." Replied Ami.
***
Following the directions, 'Jack' finally made it to the library. 'Now to
find someplace to use this.' He thought.
Finding an empty table, he sat down and opened up the laptop. It loaded up,
and instead of logging in through his Sensor relay he manually typed in
his commands. First, he loaded up his favorite cracker program, then the
signal-bouncer, before logging into MercNet under a handle.
He knew how long he had before the 'bouncer' could be hacked from
MercNet Ops, but it was more than enough time to get what he needed.
'Alright. I've been targeted as killable, so let's see why.' He headed
for the Current Operations Database, a very highly protected folder.
Fortunately for him, he had the top-of-the-line cracker which he
slightly modified, and it quickly tore down the front-door to the
folder. Unfortunately, the only real interesting file concerned a
meeting of the UN, but he downloaded it to be safe.
Glancing at the corner of the screen, he noted he still had 2 minutes of
searching, 3 if he wanted to push it. He decided to get into the
MercNet Secured message folder, hoping something would turn up. But, as
he figured, they were all encrypted. 'No time to try to crack them
all.' So he grabbed 3 of the newest ones, and then logged off.
Once again checking the clock, he had a remaining 30 seconds. 'Unless they
upgraded, I should be safe.' He thought. Then, packing up his equipment, he
headed out of the library and started to look for a new hotel.
***
The meeting ended shortly after Jack arrived, and now Usagi was in her
bedroom playing a Sailor V game. She just started over, after kicking the
game when she died.
"You know Usagi..." Luna began.
"Aaaaarg! Not again! Where'd that bonehead come from?!?" Usagi whined.
"Maybe you should try studying. It can be very relaxing. And you won't have
'boneheads' killing you." Luna smirked.
Usagi just looked at her, "But Lunaaaaa, you know studying gives me a
headache!"
Luna just sighed and wend to lay down on the bed, while Usagi went back to
her game.
Meanwhile, Makoto and Minako were at the park, looking out for cute boys to
drool over, while Ami was back at home studying, and Rei was meditating.
***
In his new hotel room, Shizen was going over the files he acquired earlier
that day. The one on the meeting was general. Just time and date stuff, who
would be their, etc. The first message was decrypted, and going over it, he
realized it was just a letter from a newbie merc looking for work. Now
he waited for the second to be decrypted, hoping it wouldn't be a waste
of time like the first.
He decided to get a drink, and hoped it wouldn't result in a small war this
time. Not having much choice, he grabbed a can of soda, and headed back to
the desk.
'42% complete. This one should be important, it's taking all night.' He
thought, then turned on the TV. The screen warmed up, to show a scene from
Urutsokdoji.
"God damn! Of all the anime!" He then flipped through the channels finding
nothing of real interest. He finally settled on the news.
"In other news, a large explosion at the Embassy Hotel leaves local fire and
police departments baffled. Only about half of room 203 was left, and there
were no casualties. They suspect it was a fault in the electrical system."
The newscaster said.
"Looks like I'm not the only one causing you problems." A tall figure in the
window chuckled.
"Ya, well, times change." Shizen replied.
The figure leapt down, "What? Not even gonna fight?"
"Sorry Dio, I'm kinda busy right now. Unless you uploaded some false record
into MercNet that's got them all hot and bothered, your presence here isn't
helping much." Shizen replied, without even glancing up.
"Hmm, well no, that wasn't me. I just kill, remember? Anyway, I think this
little problem of your is alot bigger than you think." Dionysus grabbed a
soda from the fridge.
"Oh, how so?" Shizen raised an eye to Dionysus.
Dionysus smiled, "I'm afraid I can't help you there. But I'm sure one of
those messages your decrypting will help."
Suddenly, Shizen fired a gun at Dionysus, which immediately had him tied
down. Losing his balance, Dionysus fell backwards, spilling his drink.
"Hey! That wasn't very nice! I found that drink enjoyable!"
Shizen now loomed over Dionysus' toppled form, and looked down at him. "OK
wiseguy, what's going on?"
"I told you what I know! Let me go!"
"Ha! You're a very wanted felon, and I finally caught you, why would I let
you go now?"
Dionysus grinned, and nodded toward the TV, "I'm not the ONLY felon."
"...police immediately. I repeat, this man wanted for numerous heinous crimes
against the US government, and is believed to have traveled here. If you
have ANY information on this man, please contact your local police
immediately." On screen, next to the newscaster, was a picture of Shizen.
"This just in! Police report that his name is Jack Thompson, and is
responsible for bombing a room in the Embassy Hotel!"
"God Christ DAMN!"
Dionysus laughed. "Making a name for yourself, are you? Still gonna turn me
in?"
Shizen grabbed Dionysus by the throat and lifted him up. "You bastard! This
is all your doing, isn't it?"
"Me? Oh no no no! I didn't hack a government database this afternoon! In
fact, I think I was asleep!" Dionysus chuckled, then grunted as he hit the
floor after being released by Shizen.
"Damn it! They were monitoring me the whole time!" Shizen said while pacing
the room. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Excuse us Mr. TV Star, but this is the police. Please, open the door and
come out with your hands over your head."
Grabbing his laptop, and changing into cyborg form, Shizen prepared to jump
