OK, the problem with this crossover is that the two series have far too
much redundancy between them.
For example, dim tall handsome blond knight with a extra magic sword.
That describes both Dick Saucer and Gourry Gabriev very well.
Gourry is clearly the nicer guy, dispite his insults, so let's eliminate
him. It also helps that Saucer is already pursued by two girls.
By combining Dragon Half after its one tape and The Slayers before its
first tape we get...
Lina Inverse is camping out and intends to raze a bandit camp the next day
when she gets a magical call from Princess Vena.
The princess tells the bounty hunter "Help me Lina, you're my only hope!"
(Delete scene of cute little robot delivering holographic message.) Er,
Vena explains how her kingdom is being terrorized by this awful dragon.
Lina asks why the princess has sought her out and Vena replies with the
Dragon Spooker bit. Lina is very p.o.ed at this point and is about to cut
Vena off when Vena offers a reward.
Lina arrives at Vena's kingdom and meets Mink along the way, but finds no
sign of this awful dragon.
Lina goes to the castle and has an audience with Vena where the princess
explains Mink's "disguise".
Lina will go after Mink with her standard blast-blast-blast routine and
Saucer will get mixed up into the situation. Lina will begin to
understand the true situation only after she's fallen for Saucer herself.
(Maybe Lina will just lust after the power of Dick's sword? %-)
Then throw in a mix of situations from the Dragon Half manga and Slayers
series. (Amelia gets called in to deal with those notorious bandits Mink
and Lina?)
