There seems to be a universal misunderstanding of the term
'continuation'. When I used the term to describe a certain type of fic
(such as Shampoo 1/2), I am referring to a fic that never ends, or a
'never-ending fic'.

When a fic has several dozen huge chapters that seem to have nothing or
little to do with anything important, you know you have a
'continuation'
fic. These are worthless.

Oh, so we're talking about soap-opera syndrome, eh? (otherwise known
as Star Trek in the '90s....) The story that has no definite goal or end
in mind, right? Yeah, I tend not to like those, either. Still, can you
tell just by looking at it, or by the number of chapters?
Just don't use 'continuation' to refer to those type of fics, please?

I have nothing against fics that pick up from the end of the manga
(though these tend to be bad in any case).

  That's nice to know.
