Here's a possible idea for a story: In order to escape from the outside 
world, the Amazons of Shampoo's village cast a Brigadoon-type spell over 
their town, so that is appears in Ranma's world for only a few days once 
every few years (the number of years is left to the author to decide). 
Would anybody like to try writing a story based on this?
