After looking over the mail that I've recieved today from the FFML, that was
my reaction. I literally twitched and screamed in fustration.
I mean, for the love of Jove, half of the messages were in response to a
stupid, silly, outrageously generic comment made by the (I think it's safe to
say) generally disliked Critic.
And, as he has said, we're just encouraging him to write more of his vitriolic
'critisism' about various fics and genres.
Not that quite a few of us don't have our own opinions about various genres or
stories. It's just that I believe that for the most part we tend to judge a
story on its own merits. I, for instance, have an intense hatred for 'Perfect
Ranma' fics, yet I gladly admit to reading the 'Just won't Die' series by
Oneshot, which is, even by the title, a perfect Ranma series. And there are
others that I won't get into.

This is from a message by Jiro Maeda:
"It is said that when a rabble-rouser rouses a rabble he wants to be
noticed, also he gets additional joy when those criticizing him give up and
leave."
And it's true! He even said it! It's because the FFML responds the way it
does that brings him back!
So, please, for the sake of my (and your) sanity, either ignore his comments
or respond privately to him.
And please respond privately to me if you wish to.
Come on, we write fanfics cause we enjoy doing them. Let's not get into such
an uproar over the comments by Critic. Disputing him will not get him to
change his mind.
