Kasumi looked up from the dishes she was washing, and stared into her
little sister's worried face. <Oh, she may deny it, but the truth is
 obvious whenever they're together--just hurry, Akane-chan. I've always
 liked younger men>.

 That's interesting.

No, it's seriously OOC. Kasumi as stated in episode #1 & issue #1 that she
doesn't like younger men. Don't you know these characters?

Feel the nature around you, and let the peace flow through your mind,
 Grasshopper. Hummmmmmmmmmm...

Sorry, we're not talking about Ranma.

Actually we are talking about Ranma. The whole premise of this fic is that
he's changed, grown, and since a person's martial arts are reflection of
themselves, the way they perform martial arts will change as they do.

That makes the two of us, and probably 90% of fans. It's called OOC.

OOC doesn't mean that a character does something he normally
wouldn't--it's when a character is no longer recognizable as canon.

This fic has no point. The premise is valid, but it leaves me cold, and
you don't explore it. You're dialogue is top-heavy.

I have no problem with OOC, provided that a plausible reason is given for it.
In this story, the reason given is that Ranma is getting older, and I do have
a bit of a problem with that. People feel that age comes with wisdom. Genma
proves that age can show up all by itself. As for the weight of dialogue,
without doing a specific word count, I feel the dialogue was 40% of the fic.
Certainly not top heavy. If anything it was bottom heavy, with more dialogue
needed to round out the characters.

This fic does need to be rewritten, just for the bad structure (The 'Return'
button is your friend.), so you may want to make it an event that triggers
Ranma's introspection rather than just a birthday. Something that he HAS to
take responsibility for, maybe hurting Akane in a fight. Not directly, but as
a side effect. (Don't worry about the bullet with your name on it, worry
about the shrapnel labeled "To whom it may concern.")

Oh, White Wolf, while I'm on the subject of Always Wrong Man, there something
I need to ask you. Because his messages are being routed though the FFML, my
killfile doesn't recognize them as coming from him. Is there something you
can do to help? I didn't notice this problem before because he was switching
screen names so often, and I've never had to killfile anyone from the FFML
before, not even Dr. Thinker. If you can help, thanks. If not, thanks for
listening. (I wonder, could we get Dr. Thinker to write Ranma fics and drive
Always Wrong Man away?)
