As for Ukyou being Mad.... I dunno... can't say much on that.
But I do say this.... however reluctantly, Always Man's points are
very
valid and rational. Always, can I ask you for what you see good in the
story???
They are well-written; Lawson is a good writer because his prose is
to-the-point, he keeps things focused and moving from beginning to end,
and he has very definite goals in each of his works.
I must thank you for your gratuitous response and your insightful views
on one of my favorite Fanfiction Series..... strangely, I did find Lawson
Lacking in some places... yet above you also point out what I liked about
the story, if not all of them.
I understand and respect your views, although I truly must say that you
have a strict taste in fanfiction.... all the power to you, though.
Might I inquire some of the sections/parts/introspections that you DID
enjoy as part of Lawson's work??? And if possible, I would like to know what
you thought of his opposite series, "Thy Outward Part", whereing Ranma
slowly goes through the process of accepting his femininity...
Here are my thoughts on this much talked about series.
Lawson does a good job at realistic self-thought, but lacks some
resolution for some of his concepts... where they simply seem to resolve
themselves magically.
This shows itself in several places, although none come readily to
mind....
I also find the general concept of where he ended the series very abrupt
and to the point. I tend to believe there is a little more of a story to
tell..... and I thought that "Definitions of Hell" was good, but ended the
series poorly. The two Lemons Lawson wrote in this series are of mediocre
caliber that I think he can improve upon...
I patiently await a response.... and for all of you FFML'ers out
there... This isn't a bashing, I'm having a conversation with a man who
seems to be fairly intelligent when he wishes to show it. After all... to
quote someone I can't hardly remember....
