Marmalade Boy: I love Yuu

Note: Once again, it's another one of my play of words ^_^


(It is during lunchbreak. Miki and Meiko are outside having a conversation. Miki
wants to tell Meiko about this boy she had met the other day, a Yuu Matsuura.)



Miki: (Sighs)I love Yuu.

Meiko: What?! 

Miki: Yes. I'm in love with Yuu.

Meiko: Um, er, I-I'm flattered, b-but....I'm n-not that kind of person. There's
someone else. I mean, I love you too, but as a best friend.

Miki: What are you talking about?

Meiko: Um, what are you talking about?

Miki: Yuu.

Meiko: What about me?

Miki: Eh?

Meiko: You said 'You'

Miki: Yes, I said, Yuu.

Meiko: What about me?

Miki: What about you?

Meiko: You tell me.

Miki: Yuu told you? You know?

Meiko: What are you talking about?

Miki: Yuu.

Meiko: Me?

Miki: No, Yuu.

Meiko: Man, this is confusing.

Miki: (Sighs)Yuu is so cute.

Meiko: Um, t-thank you. But that's not grammatically correct.

Miki: Eh? What are you talking about?

Meiko: It's you are cute.

Miki: Yuu are cute? No, that's wrong.

Meiko: Eh? No it isn't.

Miki: (Shrugs shoulders)Anyway, back to Yuu.

Meiko: What about me?

Miki: Not you. I'm talking about Yuu.

Meiko: I'm confused.....who are we talking about?

Miki: Yuu. We're talking about Yuu.

Meiko: Me?

Miki: No. Yuu.

Meiko: .........................

Miki: Do you think Yuu likes me?

Meiko: Um, of course I like you. You're my best friend.

Miki: I know that.

Meiko: Then why did you ask me?

Miki: I was asking about Yuu.

Meiko: And I already told you.

Miki: You told Yuu?!? Why?!?

Meiko: Eh?

Miki: Why did you tell Yuu?

Meiko: I'm confused.

Miki: Yuu doesn't know.

Meiko: W-what are you talking about?! You're confusing me! And why are you
speaking with improper grammar?!

Miki: What are you talking about?

Meiko: You tell me.

Miki: Yuu told you?

Meiko: What are you talking about?

Miki: Who else? Yuu.

Meiko: What about me?

Miki: When did you come into this. I was talking about Yuu.

Meiko: ..................

(Long pause)

Meiko: Lettme get this straight, you like me?

Miki: What?! H-he does?! 

Meiko: Why are you screaming?! What did I say?

Miki: You said 'Yuu like me' I heard it. Actually, it's supposed to be 'Yuu
likes me'. That's improper grammar you said before.

Meiko: What's going on here? Who are you?

Miki: No. It's 'Who is Yuu?'

Meiko: You're confusing me to death here, Miki.

Miki: You're telling me. You're confusing me too.

Meiko: ........................

Miki: Now, what did you say before. What about Yuu?

Meiko: Me?

Miki: Yuu.

Meiko: You?

Miki: Yes.

Meiko: .......................

(Short pause)

Miki: Well?

Meiko: Well what?

Miki: About Yuu....what about Yuu?

Meiko: You?

Miki: Yes.

Meiko: I don't know why you're asking me this. I don't know who you like.

Miki: But you said Yuu likes you.

Meiko: What are you talking about? Ugh...

Miki: You tell me.

Meiko: How can I tell you when I don't know what you are talking about?!

Miki: Why are you yelling at me?

Meiko: I'm not yelling at you!(Takes a deep breath)Sorry, I guess I was yelling.
Now, what are we talking about? What is the subject of conversation?

Miki: Yuu.

Meiko: Me...

Miki: No. Yuu.

Meiko: You?

Miki: Yes.

Meiko: .......................

Miki: .......................

Meiko: Um, can we change the subject?

Miki: Like to what?

Meiko: I don't know. What about you?

Miki: Weren't we just talking about Yuu?

Meiko: Not me. You.

Miki: Eh?

Meiko: What?

Miki: ...................

Meiko: ....................

Miki: God, what's going on here? I don't even know what you are talking about.

Meiko: You're telling me.

Miki: Let's talk about something else.

Meiko: Like what? Okay, how about yesterday? What did you do yesterday? 

Miki: I bumped into Yuu.

Meiko: No you didn't.

Miki: Yes I did.

Meiko: Um, I don't think I would forget having bumped into you yesterday. And we
didn't....

Miki: You also bumped into Yuu?!

Meiko: How can I bump into myself? 

Miki: What are you talking about?

Meiko: You tell me...

Miki: That's what I'm trying to find out.

Meiko: ...................

Miki: .....................

Meiko: This is confusing.......

Miki: Anyway, I bumped into Yuu yesterday. We spoke.

Meiko: No we didn't.

Miki: We? You were there?

Meiko: No, I wasn't there. That's why I don't understand how you bumped into me.

Miki: You? I never bumped into you.

Meiko: That's what I'm trying to tell you.

Miki: Tell Yuu what?

Meiko: That we never bumped into each other yesterday.

Miki: Um, I am so confused now that my head is spinning.

Meiko: You're telling me.

Miki: Um, how about we call it for the day. We better get to class.

Meiko: Wait, one more thing, before you leave.

Miki: Yes. What is it?

Meiko: Than boy. Who is he?

Miki: Yuu.

Meiko: Eh?

Miki: His name is Matsuura.

Meiko: Can we talk about him after class?

Miki: But we've been talking about him this whole break period.

Meiko: W-we have? 

Miki: Yeah.

Meiko: ...................

Miki: .....................

Yuu: (Appearing)Hello.

Miki: (Blushing)Hi, Yuu.

Meiko: (Thinking)Hi you? What kind of greeting is that?

Yuu: Hello. (Smiles at Meiko)

Miki: This is my friend, Meiko.

Yuu: Hi. I'm Yuu.

Meiko: You're me? What are you talking about?

Yuu: Eh?

Meiko: .....................

Miki: ....................

Yuu: ......................
