Thought I might as well send it out... it's just been sitting here,
collecting dust. School, and a rather annoying writer's block have prevented
me from rewriting it... :P Anyway, as always, my wonderful little notes are at
the bottom... ^_-

Nearly 1,000 years have passed since the rise, and fall,
of the city known as Crystal Tokyo, and its monarchy,
Neo-Queen Serenity, King Endymion, and their daughter,
Princess Serenity, once known as Chibi-usa. The reason
behind the fall remains a mystery to the general populace,
but this missing piece of history is not a priority to them
at the moment; the once-proud city is in such chaos that
the current government has declared a state of emergency.
A woman claiming to be the daughter of the late Princess
Serenity suddenly makes her appearance, promising to lead
Tokyo back to it's golden age. The people, willing to believe
almost anything at this point, put their lives in her hands.
Meanwhile, another young woman claiming to be related
to the royal family begins her search for those she thought
would never again reappear... the original Sailor Senshi...

Aisu Masamitsu gazed forlornly out the barred
window, wondering for the thousandth time why Kami
had chosen his life to be so unbearable. His glasses
had slid down his nose, threatening to fall, but he could
do nothing about it. He turned his head slightly, and
blinked in half-blind wistfulness at the strange cuffs
that adorned his wrists and kept them behind his back.
"Would you like me to help you?"
It was all her fault, Aisu decided, scowling. That, that..
Luna! With her odd dress, and hairstyle that mimicked the
old Queen... She had gotten him into this mess. He had
been just fine before she arrived, spouting her tales about
'Ami-chan' and the 'Silver Millennium'... So what if his techno
store had been shut down! So what if he had had no money
to speak of before she arrived.. at least he hadn't been in jail!
"Ami..." Luna trailed off, frowning impatiently at his look.
It was becoming more difficult to remember the name he had
told her, now that her anxiety had been turned up a notch. It
was even more difficult to think of him as a 'he'... especially
since every time she looked into those dark eyes she saw
Mercury's shadow...
"I'm not Ami, you psycho!" he cried, stiffening at the look
she had sent right back to him. It was piercing, yet almost
dreamy at the same time, soft, as if she was reliving some
past memory...
His glasses fell off completely then, in his agitation, and
he let out a dismayed sound. He struck out his foot, trying to
prevent them from breaking. It was his last pair, and he would
never be able to scrounge up enough money to buy another...
"It's alright. I've got them." Luna was suddenly very close
to his face, and he flinched, blinking rapidly at her. She calmly
placed the glasses back on his face, and the world once again
swam into view.
Heavy footfalls sounded suddenly from just outside the cell
door, followed by angry shouts. Aisu cast an uneasy look in that
direction, backing up until he was lodged the corner, Luna
somewhat in front of him.
"They're going to kill me first..." he moaned, trying to make
himself as small as possible. "Maybe they'll take my glasses and
push me into a pit--"
"Stop it," Luna interrupted shortly. The old lock began rattling,
the telltale signs of a key being inserted, and she clenched her
hands together. There was a feeling of anticipation mixed with dread
deep within her gut. This was going to be painful, whatever it was.
The door was roughly pushed aside, and a woman, her face
hidden by a black hat, came swaggering in. The hat was discarded,
and an icy smile was directed at the midnight haired woman in front of
her. Green eyes met startled dark ones as she intoned, "I'm Makoto Kino.
Welcome to SKY."
--
Masaaki Yasutaro was getting very, very frightened. His employer
had never told him THIS was going to happen... and if she had, he
would have demanded a hell of a lot more pay. Now, he mused, any
money he would be getting wouldn't do him very much good in the ground...
"Ms. Isuhiro," he tried one last time, feebly, inching out of his hiding
place into her line of vision. She ignored him, her gaze fixated on the
woman before her with an angry heat that seemed to rise from every
inch of her body. "M-Ms. Isuhiro... please, can't we, uh, discuss
whatever the problem is in a civil manner?"
"I told you to stay the hell away from me, didn't I?" It took Yasutaro
a painful moment to realize Maidel was speaking to the reporter, her
finger jabbing threateningly towards the other woman. He shrunk back
gratefully. They could argue as long as they wanted, just so long as
they didn't kill each other... or him in the process.
"Well, Masami?" Maidel said the other woman's name spitefully,
her hands balling into fists. "Do you have a death wish?"
"Really, Mai-chan." Masami made a tsking noise, a small
smile playing over her lips. "I just came for an interview."
Maidel's eyes had begun to flash dangerously, and as
Yasutaro watched in amazement, a small symbol blazed to life
on her forehead. She reached slowly into her coat, her fingers
encircling around an object, and drawing it forth into the light...
"A, a, a.... gun!" Ysautro sputtered, cowering on the ground.
His driver stood in front of him calmly.
"Imbecile," Maidel muttered, throwing the object at Yasutaro's
feet. It was indeed a gun, and by the look of it, one that had been
used heavily over the years.
"I told you I would kill you if I ever saw you again. But you just
couldn't stay away, could you? You always were a sadistic bitch."
Maidel eased into a fighting stance, her mouth set in a hard line.
"Lets go then, lets fight."
Masami frowned impatiently. "Don't be stupid. I don't want to
fight. All I want to know is why you're here, and what you're doing
for Tsukino. Don't make it a personal matter yet again, Maidel."
"Yet again?" Maidel's voice rose in disbelief. "You make it
sound like nothing happened... you, the only person I ever
considered a friend, and the only person who completely betrayed
my trust and lived to tell about it! How could I forget what you did,
Rei...."
Masami looked startled. "What did you call me?"
Yasutaro chose this moment to jump in. "Ladies, why don't
we all get back into the car." He smiled and nodded nervously at the
two of them. "We don't want to keep Tsukino-san waiting, ne?"
The driver, forgotten by the trio, walked slowly forward until he
was in the middle of all of them, forcing them to pay attention to him.
He continued smiling that odd smile of his, and raised his arm, showing
the gun Maidel had dropped.
"I suggest you all get in the automobile. Whilst you were arguing,
Puu-oneechan confessed to me that she sent a youma to track us down.
She was, unfortunately, miffed when she called it. As a result, the youma
will kill us. But I will kill you all before it does, if I can save myself."
"Give me my gun, you idiot," Maidel snapped, snatching the gun
out of his hand and storming away in the direction of the car. She paused
when she realized no one was following her, and she cast a withering look
at the surprised looking driver. "Mustn't keep Sachiko waiting." She smirked
and slid into the back seat of the car, slamming the door behind her.
"Who is 'Puu' ?" Masami asked eagerly, pulling out a small electronic
writing pad. "Oh, and who exactly are *you*?"
"Uhhh.." Yasutaro quickly pushed the driver towards the car, and
gave Masami an apologetic glance. "Gomen ne, Seito-san. Tomo has
no idea what he's talking about. He's a little, well," he made a crazy
sign around his head,"slow."
"Oh..." Masami didn't look convinced, but she shrugged, and made
her way over to the car. Yasutaro, in his usual gentlemanly manner,
opened the door for her. She raised an eyebrow, but slid in next to
Maidel. He quickly slammed the door, and entered the front passenger
side.
"Off we go.. to hell," Maidel muttered.
--
"M-Mako-chan?" Luna croaked, looking completely taken
aback.
Aisu cringed, at the same time staring at the newcomer. She
was tall, and looked like some kind of fighter... but she was also
pretty, and he figured he might as well look before she killed him.
Luna's back was turned to him, and he missed the haunted look
in her eyes... but he wondered about the name. Had she gone
insane, to call to this woman in such a familiar way?
The green-eyed woman narrowed her eyes at Luna, not
unkindly, but with definite interest. After a moment, she turned
to Aisu and smiled warmly at him. He smiled back, unable to
stop himself. That smile was infectious.
"What's your name, cutie?"
"A-Aisu, Miss," he stammered.
"Your full name, please," she purred, taking a step closer.
"Well, um, my full name? Well, it's Tokunosuke Masamitsu,
but everyone calls me Aisu... I'm not sure why." He blushed as
she took his face in her hands.
"You seem... familiar," she muttered.
"It's Ami, Mako-chan," Luna whispered. "Don't you remember?"
The woman froze, then slowly turned around to face Luna, her
face an impenetrable mask. "So I've heard. Who are you? You aren't
one of them...."
"It's Luna... Luna, Makoto." Her face exploded with unadulterated
happiness, and she took a step forward. "I didn't realize any of you
had survived, I--"
"Luna?" Makoto cocked her head. "Ah. The cat. Sorry to disappoint
you, dear, but I'm not the Makoto you remember. I'm a clone."
--
"You must kill her. She has been a liability to us from the
beginning. Why that stupid child decreed her scientists to bring
her into existence is beyond me... She always acts before she
thinks. Just like her mother... and the mother before her."
A laugh rang out in the dark chamber, and the small boy
in front of the throne winced.
"Once the true reincarnated form is revealed, we will
find her and bend her to our will... the twins have foreseen
this, haven't they? And they are Fate's earthly form... Hmmph.
Why are you looking at me as if I am crazy? You, in that tiny
body...."
The laugh rang out again, this time with more mirth behind
it. A slender hand reached out and touched the boy lightly on
the cheek.
"Ah... that guardian will never be able to find them in time.
Not with the moonchild in our care.... and you! She doesn't even
know you're still alive. Really, it doesn't matter if you're alive....
isn't that right, my love....
Endymion?"
