In all honesty, I'm not really sure myself.  I can say for certain
it started out as Kasumi.  By the end I had convinced myself it
was Akane.  When I went to do some minimal editing, I kept finding
all these hints it was Nabiki.  It was pointed out that a good case
could also be made for Nodoka.  

I could see Nabiki or maybe Nodoka, but not Akane.  She simply doesn't
have the self-control, and if she gained it, it would have taken a
sufficiently long process that Ranma wouldn't have been surprised by it.
