Hi everyone! Just thought of this little idea while listening to Torn
on my playlist :P C&C's welcome!
To the song "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia
*******************************
[A pan shot of Ukyou, standing on the edge of a building, tears running
down her face. Her feet inch closer towards the open space leading to
the ground]
[She smiles as she thinks back to when her and Ranma were young.]
I thought I saw a man more to life
[Ranma helps her out of a fight between her and a bunch of young thugs.]
He was warm, he came around and he was dignified
[Ranma cheers her up after the fight and tells her not to give up and
he'll always be there for her.]
He showed me what it was to cry
[Ukyou thinks to the Ranma she knows now and how much he's grown. She
wishes she could go back to when they were young.]
You couldn't be that man that I adored
[Ranma and Akane are sitting at a booth at "Ucchan's" while she's
cooking. He seems so alive when he's around Akane]
You don't seem to know, seem to care, what your heart is for
[Ukyou stares shocked as Akane and Ranma share their first kiss when
they think no ones around.]
I don't know him anymore
[Ukyou starts to run away as fast as she can, crying hard and
stummbling.]
There's nothing where he used to lie
[The next time Ranma is in "Ucchan's", Ukyou finds it hard to talk to
him.]
Conversation has run dry
[Ukyou ends up kicking Ranma out when he says that he has to marry
Akane.]
That's what's goin on
[Ukyou again is on the edge of the building, edging ever more close to
falling.]
Nothing's right, I'm torn
I'm all outta faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed, lying naked on the floor
[She thinks of the many times she imagined herself marrying Ranma. She
smiled when he finally asks her to marry him.]
Delusion never changed, into something real
[She shakes her head and knows it will never happen. Bitter tears spill
down her face]
I'm wide awake, and I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late, I'm already torn
[Her anger grows as she spots a couple pass beneeth her. They look so
happy and in love. She wonders why she thought Ranma would ever pick
her.]
So I guess the fortune teller's right
I should have seen just what was there and not some holy light
[She thinks again of all the times Ranma has saved her, the first time
they met, when she first came to Nerima and he called her cute]
But you've crawled beneeth my veins and now
[She violently shakes her head of the memories and reassures herself it
will never happen]
I don't care, I have no luck, I don't miss it all the much
There's just so many things that I can't touch, I'm torn
[Ukyou stretches out her arms to her side like she's flying and feels
some rain fall again her face, mingling with her tears and she smiled.]
I'm all outta faith, this is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed, lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed, into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late, I'm already torn
Torn
[She thinks again of how she told him never to come back, and how empty
her restaurant is without him]
There's nothing where he used to lie
[Ukyou cooks an Okonomiyaki, but burns it. She throws it onto a pile of
ones she's already messed up. It's getting quite big.]
My insipration has run dry
That's what's goin on
[Ukyou looks to the street below her and finally realizes what she's
doing.]
Nothing's right, I'm torn
I'm all outta faith
This is how I feel
[She falls into a heap on the roof and buries her head into her hands]
I'm cold and I am shamed, lying naked on the floor
Illlusion never changed, into something real
[More rain falls onto her already soaked body]
I'm wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn
I'm all outta faith
This is how I feel
[She picks herself up form off the ground and hugs herself tight
whispering Ranma's name as she trudges back into the building]
I'm cold and I'm ashamed, bound and broken on the floor
[Ranma runs into "Ucchan's" to talk to his best friend but the place is
all packed up, except for a white piece of paper, folded, on the
ground.]
You're a little late, I'm already torn
[He picks it up and read's what's on it,]
Torn...
