I'm replying to two people's comments in one. One less post to read for
everybody else! ^_^

You know, this kind of comment really ruins my enjoyment of fanfic
writing. I am doing this for fun, (said that upfront too) based on the 8
TV tapes I have bought and the fansub of the first moveie, and I have no
intentions of doing any kind of serious research. I'm writing from my
memory of what Software Sculptors put as subtitles, and might have
chosen to re-render some words phonetically, but that's my choice. I
find your comment saying that Inverse Gateway was non-canonical but OK
as it was a necessary plot device to be highly condescending. Who are
you to tell me it's ok? And what's next? Ranma authors aren't allowed to
create new techniques? Oops! no more power-ups for the sailor senshi
either!

Please! This mailing list is not the review board of a scholarly body,
loosen up! This is writing using other people's characters for fun. If
you don't like that, don't read it.

The corrections and comments aren't unappreciated, even if I think some
of them are a trifle pedantic. (By the way, in this fic, if I write it,
Maria will be calling the shots and recovering brainwashee Richtor will
be saying "Yes Ma'am" - he's her sidekick, deal with it. Besides, movie
trailers often play up the 'lurid details' and get a lot of stuff wrong!
^_^)

HOWEVER, I am very irritated that you put those comments in MST form. I
don't like MSTing; I believe it is an infringement on my original
writing and I have the Mystery Usenet FAQ to back me up. Add that I've
been on this soapbox on the FFML before not once but twice, I feel I
have to make a stink about this immediately or be seen as backing down
from my position. Please do not MST anything of mine without explicit
permission from me. Criticize line-by-line if you like but do not frame
it as a MST.

Cheerfully firm,

Nightman
