Okay, things are going to slow down (even moreso) on this fanfic.
It'll be on my webpage (soon, I hope), but otherwise, I'm afraid RL's
messing me up too much to concentrate on this. I'm hoping to get more
out before the end of the month without having to turn this into a
lemon.
===================================================================== In
recent days, I was growing more and more confused as to how I felt. I
knew that I'd have to make a decision and soon. Kate, despite her
patience, wasn't going to wait forever. But my mind was still in
turmoil. I wanted to stay friends with her, but what if going further
ruined that? Or what if we broke up? Could we remain friends? There
were so many risks involved, but should I risk all of it just for what
might be something that would destroy our friendship?
I was so deep in thought that I almost missed the new english teacher I
had. She had long dark hair, deep brown eyes and a body that made most
of the guys and some of the girls drool or lick their lips. I was among
the population of the class that was slapping themselves to keep from
drooling or licking their lips.
"Hi, my name is Susan Romaro and I'll be your teacher for the rest of
the year." Susan replied, smiling and winking.
Most of the guys, including myself, smiled widely. This was indeed
going to be a fun class. Then, my smile faded. How could I think of
another girl!?
Feeling guility, I focused as much as I could on the subject rather
than on the teacher. Of course, she was almost like an older version of
Kate. Smart, looked like she could bench-press the class while looking
incredibly sexy too, and to top it off, she could match wits with the
few sharper minds in the class, myself included.
"Read pages 1 to 8 in Dante's 'Inferno' for tomorrow. Then, write what
your thoughts were on the subject." she declared.
The surprising thing was that it almost looked like the slower kids who
could maybe get to paragraph 3 normally before becoming completely lost
were going to actually be able to finish the assignment.
I knew that searching the town for crime was pointless as too many
criminals were afraid of me and my devastating attacks. But, I was done
with my homework and I had developed a taste for leaping impossible
distances while looking for mysterios shadows. I screeched to a halt
when I noticed a familiar figure standing in front of me. Nabiki. And
she was smiling.
"What is this time? Time for a power upgrade?" I asked.
"Well, yes and no. It's time for an upgrade, but not power-wise. It's
for your upgrade from a vigilante to heroine." Nabiki said, holding out
something that looked like a phone book.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Your super-heroine test. Kate'll take hers in about two weeks."
Nabiki said.
"That reminds me, when did you realize I might need help?" I asked.
"When you talked to me after that dream you had." Nabiki replied.
"And I still qualify?" I asked.
"Who helps in the defeat of the boss doesn't matter once you've fought
the boss on your own for about a half minute." Nabiki explained, handing
me the test.
It looked remarkably like the White Pages, but the cover made sure that
no one could confuse it for one. In bright pink letters, the words
"Super-Heroine Test" was in bright, friendly letters.
"Um, that's another things I've been meaning to ask you, why am I
called a 'Heroine'? I know I'm not very masculine at the moment, but
I'm really a guy." I asked.
"It's not what you are normally, it's what you are when you're in your
magical form that counts." Nabiki answered.
"And another thing, about Sailor Sugar-Overdose. I saw at least seven
fatal wounds. How did you fix that?" I asked.
"Actually, there are three ways for you to survive fatal injuries."
Nabiki answered.
"And they are?" I asked.
Nabiki sighed.
"Here, read the manual." Nabiki said, handing me another book that was
blue and had the words saying "So, you're a magical person, but you know
squat about what you can do". So it was basically a complete idiot's
guide to Super Heroine Powers.
I took the manual. Might come in handy. Then, I looked up and found
Nabiki had vanished. I hate it when she does that.
I put the books away in my 'Pocket Space' for later. I had discovered
this nifty little trick a little while ago, so I figured I should test
my storage capacity. The only drawback is when you change back, you'd
better be ready to grab the items as they tend to appear in front of
you. So, it's best if you just take out the items before you change
back.
It wasn't long before I noticed that a nearby convenience store was
being attacked by ugly stone creatures. Being the nearest
Super-Heroine, I leapt into action. There were a total of six of the
creatures as they seemed to want the.... potato chips? Doritos,
Cheetos, whatever was hand food and in bags seemed to be their targets.
The battle wasn't very long. They were so focused that I just smashed
them and waited to make sure they didn't reform when I left. The police
and media arrived while I leapt to the nearest roof-top to make sure
nothing went wrong while they were cleaning up. Rock monsters were
notorious (in sentais, animes, mangas and movies) for reforming when the
good guys weren't looking.
Then, I felt someone watching me. I spun around to see... my english
teacher, Susan Romaro....... in a sailor fuku. Hers was an orange and
red outfit. This was getting ridiculous. I was going to have to ask
Nabiki if the Sailor Pens were handed out in every fifth cereal box.
"So, you're Sailor Overdrive. I've heard so much about you." Susan
commented, smiling.
"Your point being...." I began, allowing to finish the sentence.
Susan smiled a bit wider and walked over to me.
"You're very pretty." Susan commented.
Uh-oh.
"And I was wondering if you wanted to be my 'special friend'." Susan
told me.
Double uh-oh.
"Um, I think that since you know who I am, that I should find out your
name." I said, trying to act professional.
Was I the only one who could look through disguises? Kate had found
out about my being Sailor Overdrive by knowing my male side well enough
to note the similarities, so she obviously hadn't been able to see
through my disguise, but I wasn't sure if Ms. Romaro could see through
my disguise.
"I'm Sailor Crash." Susan said proudly.
"Well, now that we know each other's names, I feel that we should go
home and go to sleep. In our own houses. By ourselves." I said,
backing up a bit.
"Ah, come on. I can do things that'll blow your mind..." Susan said,
smiling.
"Um, what's that!" I exclaimed, pointing behind her.
Susan looked. I ran.
Great, just great. Now, I have TWO women to consider. The first is my
teacher, the second is my best friend. To get my mind off of my
predicament, I opened the test booklet and read the instructions. Hmm,
any writing utensil, save anything that uses invisible ink, disappearing
ink or appearing ink, is fine. I grab my trusty pen and turn to the
actual test.
1. If an evil creature is looming over you while you take the test, you
should: A) kill it, B) hug it, C) politely ask it to move, D) rudely ask
it to get the hell out of the way, or E) convince it to change it's ways
to help you and your society and if it doesn't, kill it.
I think for a bit, then mark E. PC and all.
2. Bad guys are surrounding you while you're helping a friend. You
should: A) Try to get your friend to safety, B) Kill all the bad guys,
then save your friend, C) Stick your finger up your nose and ignore the
problem while hoping that it'll all go away, D) Whine, scream, kick and
bawl until the bad guys get so disgusted with you that they leave you
and your friend alone or E) Act cute and convert the bad guys to your
side.
I mark A.
3. T/F You should get a kitty out of a tree.
I mark T.
4. Your original gender is M/F.
I mark M.
5. You fight Good/Evil.
I mark E.
By about the eighteenth page, I began to notice phrases in my answers.
Rather dirty ones at that. "EAT ME" is the first word I noticed. I
won't write what the other ones were. By the time I made to page
sixty-one, it was 1 AM, so I decided to call it a night.
The next day I had off, so I spent most of the day filling out the rest
of the test. Of course, it wasn't until I was about 3/4ths of the way
through the book that I realized that I was still in my sailor form. I
must've been using my Sailor powers to help me get through most of the
test.
Deciding that if I was fine after spending this much time in my Sailor
form and that a few more hours wouldn't hurt, I managed to finish the
test around midnight and went for a few rounds before going home and
going to sleep.
Nabiki picked up the test the next day right after breakfast. She was
a bit startled to see me done so early, but I guess most other people
don't take it while in their super-hero(ine) form. Then, an odd idea
struck me.
"Hey, Nabiki." I said.
"What?" Nabiki asked.
"Do you ever get into love triangles?" I asked.
"Me personally? I've gotten in a few. Occasionally as the one in the
middle." Nabiki replied.
Maybe she could help after all.
"How did you figure them out?" I asked.
"I didn't. Usually I waited too long and I never saw either again."
Nabiki replied, shrugging her shoulders.
That wasn't very useful.
"Well, thanks." I replied.
"Ben, here's some advice. Decide what's more important. It's a lot
like most of the questions in this. You have to decide which of them is
more important to you personally or you just wind up with a hollow
feeling of longing for what might have been." Nabiki said.
I frowned at this.
"Then why have me take the test?" I asked.
"We have to find out what you're like. If you're missing something
that's needed to be a super heroine, then we need to know now so we can
have someone step in to have that may have that opinion." Nabiki asked.
"And one more thing." I said.
"What?" Nabiki inquired.
"Do those Sailor Pens come in every fifth cereal box?" I asked.
"No, every 1000th." came Nabiki's reply.
After the next little incident involving snack foods and some blobs was
cleaned up and I was halfway home to get cleaned up (a word of advice,
never use super-strength against a blob), Sailor Crash appeared.
"You're a little messy tonight, my dear." Crash said.
"And I need to get cleaned up." I said.
"I have a shower you can use." Crash said, smiling.
"As do I. They _ARE_ neat inventions, aren't they?" I asked
sarcastically.
I didn't need this. As we spoke, the slimy remains got cold and more
disgusting to feel on my skin. Crash smiled widely.
"A sharp mind. I like that." Crash said.
I noticed something behind her.
"LOOK OUT!" I yelled.
"I'm not going to fa-" Crash began.
I tackled her out of the way as a large energy bolt annihilated the
roof that Crash and I had been standing on. I looked up at the winged
woman hovering above us. She was very attractive with cute little bat
wings on her head above her ears, long green hair, larger bat wings on
her back and a low-cut black body suit and red nylon sleeves and
leggings. For some reason, she reminded me of someone.
"So, you are the infamous Sailor Overdrive." she said, smiling slyly.
She noticed Sailor Crash.
"And who might you be?" she inquried.
"I'm Sailor Crash. And who are you?" Crash demanded.
"Morrigan." the woman said, smiling.
Morrigan? Sounds VERY familiar. It's on the tip on my tongue.
"A demon, huh?" I inquired, crossing my arms across my chest.
"Succubus, actually. But I am of Demon Royalty." Morrigan answered.
Morrigan the succubus..... wait a minute.... I didn't get the chance
to think on the topic as she transmuted her wings into numerous spears.
Crash and I leapt out of the way.
"CRASH, GET OUT OF HERE!" I yelled.
"But-" Crash began.
"NOW! If she's Demon Royalty, then you don't stand a chance!" I
snapped.
I didn't know what to make of this, but that last demon took all of my
strength to fight. If Demon Royalty was taking an interest in me, then
Crash and Max-Out would need to train hard to come up to my level.
"FIND SAILOR MAX-OUT! AND BRING HER HERE!" I yelled to Crash, who was
still indecisive.
Crash hesistated.
"Look, the last full fledged demon I fought required me and Max-Out to
beat. Morrigan is Demon Royalty! That means she's eight to fifty times
stronger!" I told her.
Crash finally left. I dodged more spikes launched by Morrigan. I just
prayed Crash and Max-Out would get here in time to help.
"Good, I wanted a one-on-one fight. Fighting two people just seems so
unfair." Morrigan said, smiling and winking at me.
Ye gods and goddesses. What was it about me in this form that got me
all the babes?
"So, why did you want to fight me?" I asked, as Morrigan lunged at me
with a kick. I blocked.
"Even though you had help, Demon Ilma'hx is not one to be beat easily.
I thought I'd see how good you really are." Morrigan commented,
launching a round-house kick that I jumped over.
I punched the ground, causing the ground to shake and a small rip to
open in the cement. Morrigan managed to stay upright by leaping up into
the air. I replied by launching my Overdrive Wipeout at full power.
Mind you, I used about quarter strength while dealing with most
oridinary criminals. Morrigan clutched her stomach as the driving force
hit her and fell to the ground as the vortex pulled her down. It was
the first time I had used it at full strength.
"You're pretty smart, using a technique that would take away my flying
advantage." Morrigan said, smiling at me.
"You seem to be enjoying this." I said, wiping some sweat from my brow.
The effort was greater than I thought. And the slime felt even more
disgusting, even though my actions had knocked quite a bit off.
"I feel some exercise gets the juices flowing, don't you?" Morrigan
asked from behind me.
Wait a minute. She was in front of me. I looked behind me while
keeping my guard up to Morrigan. Morrigan was in front of me as well as
behind. Two Morrigans. Uh-oh. They rushed me.
The next thing I recalled was crashing through a wall and shaking my
head to clear the daze I felt. Shite. She was good. I managed to pull
myself up. Morrigan was waiting for me.
"Why are you letting me get up?" I asked, clearing my head. We were
now on the open street in a deserted part of town.
"What's the point of fighting if you don't enjoy it? And how can you
enjoy it if you take advantage of your opponent's momentary weakness?"
Morrigan asked.
Time to go on the offensive. I rushed her and punched with all my
strength. She brought her wings forward as a shield. My punch
connected with it, sending her flying backwards into a wall. She
blinked and shook her head.
"This is the best fight I've had in centuries." Morrigan commented,
smiling widely at me.
"Well, good. I didn't want you to get BORED!" I said launching a kick.
She blocked it with her wings again and tried to stay her ground. She
was rewarded with being sent backwards in a car, her feet tearing up the
cement along the way. She struggled to her feet, smiling all the while.
Was she a masochist or something?
"Excellent. WONDERFUL!!" Morrigan exclaimed.
She charged up and launched another blast at me.
"OVERDRIVE DESTROYER!" I yelled, launching my own powerblast.
My blast struck hers and it was a contest of wills. Her blast versus
mine. The energy bolts struggled against each other, neither beating or
being beaten. Suddenly, hers cut off and mine slammed into the car
beyond where she had been, totaling it completely. That realization hit
me. HAD been. There was no trace of her and I knew I couldn't have
destroyed her. Not with that blast.
Then her arms wrapped around me, pining my upper arms holding me in
place. Oh shite. Her tongue ran along the edge of my left ear and she
nibbled my earlobe. I knew my face was bright red. I managed to break
her hold and I spun around to face her.
"I thought you liked girls." Morrigan asked, smiling seductively.
"I do, but, but-" I stammered.
"Then how about a little fun?" Morrigan asked, tugging at her outfit.
"Uh-ba-ba-ba-ba-uh-nothankyou." I stammered out.
"Ah, please?" she asked, walking up to me in a way that sent shivers up
my spine and figuratively glued my feet to the ground. My knees began
shaking. I was breathing as though I had been running full tilt across
America. I felt as though I was going to burst into flames any second
now.
Morrigan kissed me passionately. HOOO-WHEE! No wonder succubi got
their reputation. That kiss nearly knocked me flat on my back. My
vision finally fixed itself and I managed to stagger back. My vision
may have been corrected, but not my balance. Morrigan smiled and leaned
forward, giving me an impressive look at her cleavage. I swallowed
heavily.
"Now?" Morrigan asked.
"Glzxxivllambivivivivi..." I babbled, my brain having become a more
base element than tofu.
The next thing I recalled, Morrigan was cleaning the inside of my mouth
with her tongue. My thoughts, if there were any at that point, were
muddled to the extent that I didn't bother to pay attention to them.
That's when the world went dark.
