I wrote this as a sort of exercise, and to make a point -- which I'll
explain after I get some reaction to it. So, what do you all think?
Feel free to guess who the mystery character is.

_How_ many points were you trying to make?!  The opening used was the 
one you most despise, Ranma's reaction to ?????'s arrival was a blatant 
parody of the one ficvention you loathe above all others, and the 
overall effect was an obvious attempt to show why an unusual pairing is 
not, in and of itself, necessarily the basis for a good fic.

Did I miss any?

Oh, and to top it all off, you begged for responses, the vast majority 
of which will go to the list, thereby ensuring a level of SPAM that 
would make Maercutio queasy to the point of praising Tybalt-sama's 
name....

What was this, post-holiday blahs?  C'mon, Gary, you're a good enough 
writer to make your point a little more adroitly.  No reason to go 
chasing flies with barbells--flyswatters work just fine.

And of course writing this was time spent not working on Hearts & 
Minds....
