Hi there,
Well, the chapters are coming fast and furious and I've got a couple
more comments on this past couple chapters although, not so many
as the first two I think. Just couldn't think of as many smart-ass
comments as before I suppose. ;
For those of you on the ffml who are just joining us, I suggest you
read the actual story before anything written below as there are
indeed spoilers contained within. Don't worry, it's a good read
and well worth your time!
On with the show.
He had either been unconscious or it had been
night, and the dogs had come. Apparently unable to get out of the
harness, or never having the chance to do so, the pilot hung there
while he was ripped apart from below.
Nah, that can't be it. ;)
Ukyo sat up and looked around, thinking about the quickest
(and what would provide the most protection) way of building such
a structure. "I suppose we could start by building a wall..."
The parens don't really fit. You havn't really used them before.
Is there a way you can just make it a part of the sentence?
"First we sharpen the ends of these two." Akane hacked away
at the end of one log until it was formed into a rough point.
"Then we make holes in this one where we want them to connect."
Akane pointed to the third log.
What is she hacking with? They havn't been using tools so far as I
can tell other than Ukyo's stick.
The thing was sharp, formed from the short rib of a boar, and wicked
looking.
Suddenly, and without warning, the NKotB came strolling out of the
jungle and began to sing, o/~ o/~ "That's just wicked awesome!" o/~
Warr prostrates himself and begs for mercy after that horrible
display.
Akane nodded. "Yeah. I haven't had any problems so far just
hunting regularly. Fishing is another story."
Yeah, how's their nutritional diet? Have they been getting their
basics from the six food groups? Vitamin E anyone?
Ukyo's cheeks reddened and he subtlely held the gourd in
front of crotch. "Yeah, I think so."
He waves when she walked past, but the gourd stayed where it hangs...
The strolled along under the shadow of the mountain, heading
for the northern ocean beaches. Both of the found it unlikely that
any settlement would be built far inland; at least, any civilized
settlement.
Both of them found... And by settlement, do they mean currently
occupied? If not, what do they consider the temple... aside from
evil.
He yelped, and yanked his foot out of the way of the falling
length of steel. Behind him, Akane gave a cynical snicker.
Now I am an extremely cynical person, but I don't really think I've
heard a 'cynical snicker' before.
Nagashi Maru, 4 June 1942, 0700
Received blinker signals from _Soryu_. Proceeding
north-northwest of Midway Island with light cruiser
_Jintsu_, heavy cruisers _Kumano_ and _Mogami_, and 11
transports.
Nagashi Maru, 4 June 1942, 0900
Strafed by enemy aircraft. Seven casualties. Our
forward gun brought one plane down.
The top log is not aligned with the following logs...
bridge and posted guards, but they may snap too. Only five
more minutes at most. Hideous gate to hell! Long live the
mperor! Long live Japan!
Is Emperor supposed to be missing the E?
"Yeah," Akane said dubiously. "Maybe. I'm starting to think
we've been abducted by UFOs or something, like on the 'X- Files'."
Not to be picky or anything but it's "The X-Files" ^_^ and there's
an extra space between X- and Files.
Akane tossed on of the shovels into the water far behind
them, and was disturbed by the way the ripples only seemed to
increase after it had sunk.
tossed one of the shovels
No doubt that silk had gotten tangled, the lines caught up slightly,
and the pilot's weight had caused the everything to catch.
caused the everything? and there is an extra space between had
and gotten
Ukyo watched for a moment from above as the bones came to
rest. There was just something very creepy about the entire
situation; it felt like he was graverobbing or something.
Scapulimancy is always good.
Somewhat reluctantly, he followed her back inside. They each
had their own pallet, and a rush curtain in between the two.
Would I lose everyone completely if I called that "The Walls of
Jericho?"
It was Akane's turn to sigh. "I do you love and I
don't want things to change." A baby would definitely change
things.
Backwards, sentence structure is. I do love you and...
Akane looked down at her stomach then and noticed the change.
Somehow, I get the feeling this baby isn't going to survive.... Hell,
the dog didn't last long and this island is death.
Uh, 'til next time mon ami!

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds
new discoveries, is not "Eureka!" ("I found it!") but rather
"hmm....that's funny..."
