[1] This is a case of me taking something that Sonoda did in Gunsmith Cats
(namely including a character who looks JUST LIKE Lufy of Gall Force) and
running with it. Riff-Raff is also Lufy's dead ringer that we see in the
final scenes of "Gall Force: Eternal Story". She is, probably, Lufy's
reincarnation in a genetic sense. Spiritually? Maybe.

[2] Another daughter (c. 1949), not included on this chart, was the mother
of Kyoko Zeppelin (1974-2005), who was not in this continuity the mother
of Asuka Langley (2001-2015, alternate timeline), having broken off her
relationship with George Langely (1972-2033) in 1998. It is believed that
another of her daughters may have been a direct female line ancestor of
Takaya Noriko (2929-2945), but given the destruction of records during the
Dark Ages, it is impossible to prove this.

[3] Izumi Noa's mother was a distant cousin of Saotome Nodoka (ne Kamiya
Nodoka).

[4] It has never been conclusively proven that Hibiki Ryouga is a
descendant of this documented marriage, but given the Hibiki family's
tendency towards consanguinous marriage between cousins and the tendency
of familial records to become lost, it is a possibility.

[5] Richard McNichol was the grandson of a first cousin of Charles
McNichol.

[6] Nikaidou Yoriko was a distant cousin of Nikaidou Nozumo (1966-2027), a
resident of Maison Ikkoku during Godai and Kyoko's "courtship".

[7] I don't care about destiny, two second cousins wouldn't look that much
alike. I am unsure what having the same grandfather and father (NOT
related) makes them (half-sisters, at least), but it satisfies my need for
symnetry.

[8] In both these cases, many more children were born to the families
involved than are listed here.

[9] Eldest daughter of Lady Kuramitsu Mihoshi (1970-2078), Commisioner of
the Galaxy Police, and Prince Salusadon Corrin (1960-2140) of Kizarka.

[10] Funaho was a member of the family of Japanese ESPers that went under
the name "Kasuga" during the Twentieth century, and was the sister of a
direct line ancestor of Kasuga Kyousuke.

[11] A distant cousin to Charles McNichol, though of Scottish birth,
instead of Canadian.

[12] Nephew to Andrew, and father of Patricia's (half-)brother Daniel
(1974-1992)

[13] The Wold-Newton Family is the name given by author Philip Jose Farmer
to several lines of notable men and women, descended from a small cluster
of people who were exposed to the ionization of a meteor in 1795, at a
small English town called Wold-Newton. Farmer suggests that the members
of this family constitute a race of mutants, posssessing near-superhuman
abilities of mind and body which have won many of them either notoriety or
fame -- the man who was called Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs was a member
of this family, as were James Bond and the Shadow, and Professor Moriarty.
Kent's father was the man given the name "Clark Savage, Jr." (1901-1959?),
in a series of exaggerated accounts of his life written by Lester Dent
(1904-1959) under the pseudonym Kenneth Robeson, published during the
1930s and 40s. His mother was the woman dubbed "Pat Savage" (1914-1980) in
those same stories, "Doc's" cousin. (They were in fact second cousins, as
related by Farmer in "Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life") As a side note,
Arsene Lupin III (1951- ) is also a descendant of the Wold Newton Family,
as his grandfather's ancestor was present as a coachman for the celebrated
Scarlet Pimpernel, Sir Percy Blakeney, at the incident. It has been
further speculated that the McNichol family of Scotland and Canada may be
descended from this same coachman.

[14] Kent's first marriage, to Sheila MacMillan (1951-1986), was without
issue, and so not represented here. Nothing is known of any children born
to his natural son, Sukunami Taka (1978-?) by his wife, Yuuki Miaka
(1980-?), as they disappeared around 2002.

Jeanne Hedge suggested that Nagumo Shinobu should be related to
Priss Asagiri and Bareiho.

Michael Gilson suggested that Saotome Nodoka should be descended
from Himura Kenshin.

Notes:

This is just an additional bit of data for those of you curious as
to where I got certain names. The name of "Mai Katsuragi", Usagi/Serena's
grandmother, comes from the startling fact that Shiranui Mai of Garou
Densetsu/Fatal Fury was voiced by Mitsuishi Kotono. That same voice actor
connection links Usagi/Serena and Misato, of course, but it also gives me
Misato's mother's maiden name (Arisugawa, from Arisugawa Juri -- and yes,
there's a familial connection there) and her personal name (Nanami, from
Rokugou Nanami of Yuugen Kaisha fame. <cough, cough>)

In other words, I MADE IT UP. Don't take this sort of thing too
seriously, all right?
